'I can't believe I'm losing to this idiot'
By Tim Reid
The Democratic challenger repeatedly shot himself in the foot
JOHN KERRY constantly squabbled with his difficult and hypochondriac wife, ran a campaign team riven by internal feuding, and repeatedly begged the Republican senator John McCain to become his running-mate, according to a riveting inside account of his doomed presidential bid.
The Massachusetts senator was so obsessed with getting advice from a multitude of rival advisers that one aide confiscated his mobile telephone. His wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, became such a moody distraction that in the closing weeks of the campaign another aide instructed her to stop whispering advice in his ear and back off.
At the same time, according to Newsweek, the relentlessly disciplined Bush White House, which only once descended into near panic after the Presidents disastrous first debate performance, became so aghast and delighted at Mr Kerrys ability to shoot himself in the foot that they almost felt sorry for him.
One of the untold stories of the presidential campaign was the erratic behaviour of the candidates wife, the Heinz heiress Mr Kerry married in 1995, according to ...

I get confused....between his bizarre rhetoric and his huge ego,,,I think he is at least equal to Dean on both levels.
Then there's the matter of TEHRAYZUHHHHHH.....
at least Dean's wife seemed somewhat normal and well-spoken.
Didn't John Kerry once run for President? I know he is a Vietnam veteran, but I seem to recall...
If the Kerry's would have won this story would have never come out. Teresa would be the second coming according to the media.
Which he never made. It was a joke on Saturday Night Live.
He married Teresa didn't he?
Are you certain he was a Vietnam Vet? I never heard that before. I bet he didn't receive any medals.
I can't find the part where Kerry's cell phone had to be taken away because he kept calling people asking them what stand he should take on positions. Anyone got a link?
I do believe he ran for president. Is he a Vietnam vet? First I've heard that, might want to get your sources checked.
How sweet it is...
Well, alot of Dean's antics were an act. He is a leftwinger, but pretty much within the Democrat party mean.
Kerry, OTOH, was and is a leftwing extremist - way out on the loony fringe.
How the Dems traded Dean for Kerry based on electability, I'll never figure out.
Would any of the old media have allowed this kind of material to run if Kerry had won?
I highly doubt it - its not like they ran this material back when it happened.
John Kerry is one of those people that once you get to know them you wish you never met them.
It reads "mobile phone" and the link works fine.
More, this is hysterical.
It's almost like they wanted Kerry to win. /sarcasm off
Regarding the advice to stay away form Gay Marriage Ammendments. You've got to hand it to Clinton, he is a good old boy with good instincts. He's simply lacks any morale judgement. With Kerry as a comparison, I can now see how America was duped by Clinton. He can come across as a simple guy that understands Americans. Kerry is an elitist snob. I think that even if he was more conservative, people still wouldn't like him. What were those rats thinking?
I think we should put Kerry up for the Freeper Purplish
Heart, for shooting himself in the foot, isn't that how
he got the others?
The sad and scary part about all this is that this dysfunctional man with his dysfunctional wife and dysfunctional campaign came way too close to winning a presidential election.
The electorate in this country better get hip in a hurry or four years from now we could be in trouble.
