We called it here first, folks... Although W's claim that it was a poorly tailored suit WAS kind of lame.

Many FReepers postulated that, even though the White House denied he was wearing one. (I'll bet Kerry had one, too.)

Hey, should we really be talking about the President's secret bulge?

Hey, should we really be talking about the President's secret bulge? Better than talking about his predecessor's bulge.

Bush's team did not want to admit he was wearing a vest for fear of disclosing information that related to his personal security I see. So now that he has won, they feel he is in less danger and are willing to reveal this?

(Well, Kerry did win the exit polls.)

Only certain Democrats would notice the Presidents bulge...

And here I thought he'd just been working out.

He's not on the campaign trail every day anymore. The President will not appear in public nearly so often now that he can concentrate fully on his job, instead of fighting to keep it. While the danger is still there, the opportunity is greatly diminished.

I think most knew - and what it really exposed is the bias of the main stream media. The media made an issue of this which only fed into the media's insulting attitude towards our President.
Our President declared a challenge 3 years ago and it is time to issue it again.
Either you are with us or you are against us! Hey, media - Do you hear me! Because I hear you!!! For 4 years I have been listening to you! Now you listen to me!!!

yup, i think the bulge matches the navy seal combat vest. it has a similar U-shape on the upper part of the back.

I didn't realize it was a secret- he's been wearing a vest when he's been in public for quite a long time before this campaign season.

Like this was a big secret in the first place. OF COURSE the President wears body armor in public.
Not that it helps very much: the last two President's that were killed died of head wounds.

That explanation won't satisfy the kool-aid coalition. They insist he was wired.

That was what I believed it was when it first came up. I'm not trying to say I known it all but it made a lot of sense.
