WHEN Geert Wilders, a Dutch politician, collected his post from the letterbox on Wednesday he got an unpleasant surprise. Among the bills and junk mail was a letter addressing him as ugly dog. It told him he would soon be beheaded.
It was an unnerving way to start the day. Only 24 hours earlier Theo van Gogh, the film maker who had often attacked radical Muslims, had been riding along on his bicycle when a Muslim fanatic first shot and then butchered him on a busy street with the nonchalance of an abattoir worker.

Hard to believe the Netherlands has become such an unstable hotbed of political violence.
Both Leftists and Muslims have turned to violence and murder in recent years, and it doesn't seem that much of anything will be done about it.
They will. They will be the first to do so, and will be as vilified for it by the "international community" as the U.S. has been over the last couple of years. We'll need to give them our support in the intervening period before those other countries wake up as well, a period that could last several years.
.
Those who embrace "multiculturalism", die by "multiculturalism".
Tolerance will always be considered weakness by those wanting to force their own opinions and lifestyles on others.
Consider the libs here in the US.
Everything is fine as long as the rest of us agree with them.
Disagree and you will become an intolerant bastard that deserves to be killed, just like an unborn baby.
The Netherlands have worked very hard to permit these vermin a foothold in their country.
If you want to avoid having to fumigate your house, keep it clean and the roaches will not get in.
The Netherlands are having to fumigate the entire country.
It will be neither easy nor pretty.
But they have brought it on themselves by offering to embrace an openly hostile culture and religion.
This had better be an example to the rest of Europe.
you are a bit wrong, islam is a very racist religion. Throughout its holy test it denigrates Jews are called the sons of apes and pigs and dark skinned people are said to have the darkest hearts. Also, since the Islamic text were given to Mohammed in arabi and mohammed was an arab man, they give preferential treatment to arabs ,in its laws, over other peoples.
"Disagree and you will become an intolerant bastard that deserves to be killed, just like an unborn baby."
The joys of relativism. I can remember professors who preached that all ways of thinking were equally valid - until you thought conservatively. Then the tolerant mask dropped and out poured the vitriol. As a result, many a liberal is nothing more than a "good student".
The irony of relativism is that it always leads to might makes right.
I imagine for the Dutch to act, the UN will require a global test and then simply label this a criminal act. No need to get upset--just move along in your little bubble now.
"For some Dutch officials it was evidence of a social experiment gone horribly wrong. We were naive in thinking people would exist in society together, said Rita Verdonk, the immigration and integration minister whose name also appears on the death list.
She added that Moroccan immigrants have never learnt about Dutch values, despite efforts to train them to respect the countrys mores."
Does any reader here need more proof of what the "diversity" movement being pushed by American Academics will bring us to? The Dutch experience makes it clear and all of Europe is at risk, as well. These nations had better pull together and the good Muslims who are also horrified over this kind of terror will need to stand up publicly against it or bear the consequences of "profiling" which will be inevitable if this horror continues.
leaders and the violence and hatred they instill in young males. Not to mention their hatred of jews, homosexuals, and blacks.
It is Islam.
Europe, having rejected Christ, has chosen Mohammed-and it's barely started.
"I hope the Dutch people and their government fire up and deal with these sick terrorists in their midst."
They're a pretty steely bunch it seems to me, and they've been quick to indicate they will take some strong actions. Like revoking citizenship, which I think is an EXCELLENT idea, and I hope they follow through on it. They need to shut down the mosque mentioned in the article straight away, they need to arrest the imman, there must be some incitement of violence or sedition statute they can charge him under. The only reason I would hesitate on that score would be if I wanted to convene whatever sort of parliment they have and make such crimes punishable by death, so as to skirt the ex-post facto provisions.
Now, they probably are not allowed to execute people due to the laws of "Europe" but I would urge ALL of Europe to re-instate the death penalty IMMEDIATELY, if they want to emulate their biggest US Fan, John Francois Kerry and make it ONLY for jihadis/terrorists, that's OK by me. I would also urge Europe to find a way to re-arm their citizenry, but I admit that's difficult at this time because you certainly wouldn't want to be arming the jihadis, although I must note this particular jihadi HAD a gun, and still he tried to chop the guy's head off. Maybe no more sharp knives for jihadis.
Good Luck Holland, you're a little tiny country and you've nurtured a viper in your bosom, just know America (the real America, you know the folks you say are so dumb) supports you in your war against the terrorists.
Many folks here are saying the Dutch have brought this on themselves with their loose morals, I don't buy that line. These horrid Muslim Fascists would kill us all, from the most depraved to the most moral. They think we are all infidels when the fact is it is they, they jihadis, who are soulless sinners. But, a return to Christian values certainly couldn't hurt, may St. Martin guide them.
GOD SAVE THE NETHERLANDS.
It appears that Secular nations rapidly dicline. I wonder why, any thoughts?
Well said...
He was wrong.
The time for talk is over.
