Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
MoveOn.Org, the immensely popular anti-Bush website designed to help elect Senator John Kerry, has posted a list of "victories" designed to rally its rapidly-fading fanbase.
Among the 7 listed "victories" they take credit for, the most eye-catching were a Senate approval of an amendment providing guidelines for US treatment of foreign POWs (in response to the Abu Ghraib scandal), and the failure of a Federal Marriage Amendment.
While these accomplishments may seem significant for MoveOn and its followers, they are really no victories at all. The United States of America has maintained a track record of excellent POW treatment over the past 75 years. And, although no Federal Amendment has been passed, each state given the chance to vote on the issue of Gay Marriage have all given a resounding NO!
The real issue at hand is why the website and its editors continue to dwell on the Abu Ghraib scandal, but have yet to condemn the Iraqi terrorists for their beheadings and other savage acts against civilians in the country.
It seems that in the liberal media, it is of first priority to see past the facts, bash America, and spin positives in a political world full of negatives for both themselves and their agendas.
And one more thing -- while this is all going on, letters to President Bush can still be sent to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. God Bless America.
I partied with the Republicans at the Downtown Tampa Hyatt on Tuesday Night-Wed.Morning. Sometimes justice is so sweet. The next morning I found myself riding the down elevator with some Deaniacs from Moveon.org. I may not be the sharpest knife in drawer, but I don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows. Here's the scene: Apparently these out-of-towners had been flown in with George Soros money and where spending their daddy's fortune at the swankiest digs in town as part of the get out the vote operation.
They were fresh off our Monday night freep of their Michael Moore guest appearance, and a good old fashion election night in the woodshed. The time was ten am Wednesday morning. They were spanked from the tip of their spiked orange hair to the bottom of their saggy baggy pants. They were lassoed, tattooed and branded by the moral majority.
So here am I, wearing my cowboy hat and in full campaign costume dress as "Ranger" (the Chuck Norris look-a-like gig) Cowboy boots, jeans, Texas Star badge, and string tie, and here we go down together in the mirrored, marbled, mahogany elevator, shoulder to shoulder. Not wanting to rub it in too badly, I said, "How are things at Moveon.org this morning?"
You could have heard a eyebrow pierce-ring drop. Then finally, the girl with the orange hair said, "I'm leaving the country."
They are neocommunists! The old Soviet communists have just morphed into different structures and organizations. Their objectives are still unchanged: destroy capitalism and institute a form of socialism/communism with only true believers. To destry capitalism, they must first destroy the US and this is to be accomplished by destroying our institutions and corrupting our beliefs. Whether you call them CPUSA, ACORN, ANSWER, SDS, ADA, or MoveOn, their purpose is clear and unchanged.
I opened my monthly credit card statement this weekend and had 2 charges for the past month. On 9/29, a charge of 3 dollars was posted to move0n.org and a 528.45 charge was posted on the same date to gift cheques. I called gift cheques and found out it was American Express Tavellers Checks. Not sure if it was the gift division or what. Anyway, someone stole my credit card information and has donated either 3 or 531.45 dollars to movepn.org. I wrote moveon.org asking for information and told them to move on after they took care of my problem.
My favorite part of the story is when I called giftcheques and asked the lady where the gift cheques for 528.45 were sent to. She told me that was confidential information. I went through the roof on the phone. I explained to her they were charged to me so I had a right to know where they were sent. She said I did not. I doubt this.
Anyway, I am getting the charges removed from my credit card but I find it intriguing that the thief donated to moveon.org.
They never had any respect.
Anyone taking bets on when AirAmerica folds?
They will have to learn not to run on emotions.
They will have to listen to the voters, not their own personal agendas, of gay rights and "40 acres and a mule mentality".
Like the speech Shapton gave at the convention. Al is still wanting every black to get those 40 acres and a mule promised from the 1800's, no less.
Ah, the Hate America First crowd. Terrorists can torture and behead innocent civilians 24/7 and they won't say a bad word about it, but if one of our MP units just humiliates some captured murderers, why, it's the end of the world as we know it.
The only people who respect MoveON.org are the disrespectable.

The Abu Ghraib scandal will be part of the case they hope to make against Bush for his impeachment.
They should be prosecuted for sedetion, Deported to Syria.
