A man who doesn't understand the simple and undeniable facts of caloric intake and caloric burn, or the complex mechanics behind a razor, is the arbitor of truth when it comes to international politics? Please, be serious.
I saw that too. The gossip columnist from Hollywood was visibly shaken during the interview, trying her best to stand tall for her minions. OR is right. I started my boycott a year ago. No more liberals in front of my eyes.
I also expect to see Moore's flick win something at the Oscars. You would think "Hollywood" should know better, but they don't. The Cannes Film Festival had no qualms about flushing whatever reputation they had by giving Moore the Golden Palm award (while Quentin Tatantino insisted "This decision isn't political, Michael, it isn't political..")
Laura Ingram was playing clips from Susan Sarandon/Bill Maher. Susan just live in another world with her Hollywood friends. They will give kudos to Moore as an in-your-face gesture. And they will lose viewership at the theaters as a result.
Ha ha. Pia Zadora yes, Michael Moore, no. I'd like to see Mel Gibson kick Michael Moore's ass. I wonder if that can be arranged.
I thought "Meet The Parents" was one of the funniest films I have ever seen, and it annoys the crap out of me that I will have to skip the sequel because Ben Stiller was dumb enough to cast Babs as his mother. I understand the rationale (who could possibly be a more annoying in-law), but I think this is going to effect box office returns a lot more severely then he suspects.
Actually they have it right in a roundabout way. The Passion is a foreign film in sensibilty to those in movie industry.
Not a drama because there were subtitles?
How backwards is that?
Didn't Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon win awards as a drama, and didn't it have subtitles?
Moore and his compatriots will use this to bully the Oscars into declaring his film a genuine documentary.
I hope you're right and I know that I won't be viewing it either. We need to keep the pressure on!
I thought a "foreign film" was one produced by foreigners. Silly me.
Wow, this is great! Glad the fat pig is out. I hope this trend continues, lol.
I find it ironic (moronic?) that with an award named "Golden Globe," a "foreign" film is not eligible if the dialog is not in English.
Goes to show how pointless these "awards" are. Mel has a bigger award waiting for him someday.
Documentary? That piece of trash? Oh well, since that is the reason for excluding it, fine. But let's not repeat it anywhere else.
I like the fact that Michael Moore is out. :-)
Michael Moore is a "filmmaker?" I've seen better film on teeth.
isn't Mel Gibson a foreigner being that he is Australian, I know he was born here in the U.S and was living here until he was 12, but he has been an Australian citizen for most of his life, that makes Passion a foreign film because it was made by a foreigner and it has subtitles, but I believe come Oscar time it will not only win allthe foreign film awards, it will also win best drama, best director, best screenplay and best movie awards as well and most possibly Jim Caveiisil, (forgive me if I mispelled his name, I'm blind I'm sounding his name out) as best actor for playing our Lord and Savior, Michael Moore will be condemned by our Lord by losing at the Oscars for Fahrenheit 9/11 and lose to a much better and more adept documentary film maker, if he does win or if his farce of a crappy movie even pops out of the documentary realm and into the fictional movie realms and wins best movie, I will be very wary of listening to another movie again!!, God bless
Gibson was born in the USA.
I second that one...
A month ago he came to our local University. It created quite a firestorm within the community, as many saw the University paying Moore thousands to create an anti-Bush political advertisement, with no balance to the other side.
Happy to say that only half the tickets were sold. And in a community that is very democratic, that says something!
