Oh, dear. This may be considerably more serious than we thought. Four years ago 36 days of uncertainty in Florida transformed the Gore-Lieberman team into the Sore-Loserman ticket, but the anger if not the rancor soon subsided. Alec Baldwin threatened to move to France but never did and eventually denied ever promising to leave. He may still be hanging about an airport

Great line - and of course none of us will work. Good, you just keep printing up phony money and see how many nations will trade with you idiots...these people are disgusting and have no idea how the real world works.
Rather than them seceding, let's help them along. I vote we blockade every interstate leading into and out of every major blue city in America. With the "just in time" inventory system this country utilizes, we'll see how they feel after 2 days with no new food coming into their rotting cities. I am sure we can also arrange to cut off their water. Let's see, New York, LA, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Miami should just about do it. Bring your guns boys, we're gonna party...:)

They simply forgot that the Soviet Union is no more, and even Red China requires payola for their (shoddy) goods (public education has nothing to do with it </sarcasm_XXXL>)

I vote for including electricity in the blockade (seeing it all comes from eeevil coal, eeeevil natural gas, eeevil dams and eeeeeeeeeevillllll uranium).

One mistake--Pruden thinks "Jesusland" is one of the names they are considering for their own secessionist republic, whereas it is a name that has been applied to the "red states."
If they get Illinois, Sue must be repatriated to South Dakota (the T. rex skeleton, that is).

Can you imagine what the murder and violent crime rate is going to be in the new Republic of Coastopia? It's where most of it occurs already, but the population will be about half of the United States.

I vote for including electricity in the blockade I disagree. Without electricity, we wouldn't be able to use TV cameras to catch all the fun they're having over there!

There's other means of getting the pictures out (battery-operated cameras, helicopter cameras, spy satellites).

I vote for including electricity in the blockade (seeing it all comes from eeevil coal, eeeevil natural gas, eeevil dams and eeeeeeeeeevillllll uranium). Most of the electricity for the Boston to Washington corridor is generated by coal fired plants along the Ohio river. They use barges to bring in Kentucky coal and cool the condensors with river water. Actually, there are so many plants that some are prevented from using river water because the river got too warm, so they must use cooling ponds or cooling towers.

Oops, I forgot to mention. The power generated is transmitted over a few
very high voltage lines. They are easy to spot, each conductor is a lattice of four cables in a square and the towers are nearly a quarter mile apart. They take an almost straight line path cross country to light up Broadway.
I'm not saying that if a tower were to fall that the whole NE coast would go dark, that would be domestic terrorism!
