Thank God the country wasn't waiting on NM to get its act together to find out who is president.
Rebecca fixed us real good. State law requires that new voters show a picture ID. Now, anything with your name written on it qualifies. She even ran taxpayer funded commercials encouraging people to vote, and tellimg them what form of identification "qualifies". All you needed was a utility bill to "prove" you were elgible to vote. We were out in force all over the state. We did our best to keep the RATS from stealing this election from us.
WE did our duty in Dona Ana County. Rita Torres, the Dona Ana County clerk, really worked hard to keep us away.
Hey hapy, I'm in Wethersfield (blue hell town in a blue hell state) and the registrar's list had a person who was registered to vote with my address, in addition to my wife and I. We've been in the house for 7 years and I know the family who lived there before us was there for at least 20 years. Occasionally we'll get junk mail with her name on it. All very strange.
Anyway, my wife contacted the town registrar's office and the women on the phone was very rude (probably crabby because of the way the election was panning out) and said the only way a person's name could be taken off the list was if they signed a letter stating that they had moved. Well if they don't live here now, unless they are hiding in a corner of our basement, how exactly can they sign such a letter?
After getting nowhere with the d-bag, my wife called the Secretary of State's office. As much and we can't stand Susan, the person on the phone was very helpful and said that the registrar should have caught it during previous elections when that person didn't show up to vote (they are supposed to follow-up with registered non-voters to confirm correct addresses) and that they would be in contact with the registrar.
Long story short, start with the SoS office and they will get you headed in the right direction.
ALL: I withdraw my comments regarding John Fund unconditionally. I was wrong & went off half-cocked on a guy that is really one of the best in the biz.
Here's my beef: We are getting what I see as half-stories out of Ohio, Florida, New Mexico, and other states. Some have substance many are total BS. The big deal in the WaTi story is the Secretary of State Rebecca Vigil-Giron. Not the 100 proven frauds so far.
Regarding the stats issue re: 6 sigma. We must remember two things here: 1) the total vote count is about 745k votes; 2) the provisionals are by default the most suspect of them all. I don't have stats on how many provisionals typically get tossed, but the % isn't small.
Regarding New Mexico politics and the corners (Farminton/Ship Rock): I would expect that if there is a big fat smoking dem gun anywhere in the state it would be there...not the SE part of the state (Dona Ana).
Looking back at the Elephant Butte scandal there's plenty of room for trouble in SE, I'm just saying corruption and systematic voter fraud have different characteristics.
But of course that is just my opinion.

In philly 100K welcome voter registration cards were mailed out by the gop ( why not the fed gov?) 10K came back as undeliverable. PEople were voting regular, then provisional. We are only seeing a tiny slice-- BOTH in % coverage and methods - which are numerous.
Usually that is correct. However, in this case it's the other way around.

Well, one clue to the fraud might be that the Dem. Sec. of State is going to court to bar Republicans from looking over her shoulder while she counts. :-)

Provisional ballots were a great idea, and this is proof of it. People don't get turned away at the polls, but illegitimate votes aren't counted.
Current vote count as of the time of this posting, President Bush ahead by 8,282 votes.

Most of those provisional ballots should not count. Provisional ballots are used to prevent a possible vote from being counted until the status of the voter can be determined. If the voter wasn't on the rolls then they had to vote provisionally. The good thing about the provisional ballot as opposed to the challenged voter is that you can identify the ballot and pull it if the voter is not qualified to vote in the election.
