Dino Rossi has pulled ahead of Christine Gregoire in Washington's race for governor.
Current numbers:
Gregoire 1,280,380 Rossi 1,282,098
Of the ballots left to count, 60,000 are in counties that have favored Gregoire, and 121,000 are in counties that have so far gone for Rossi.
who is R?
Good. They don't need that lefty Gregoire screwing up Washington even further.
outstanding - possibly a republican governor for my hopelessly liberal state yet
Rossi. Gregoire has served aa Attorney General for Washington, she is Democratic and notoriously liberal.
Rossi. And he's a REALLY good R too.
tx
Fingers crossed.
link? We need to be able to know these are real numbers, and the latest numbers, before I can get too excited. We've been around this tree before.
This is toooooooooooooo good!!!
YEA!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, but I just have to yell!
Come on, Rossi!!
The numbers keep changing because we are 70% absentee ballots here, and they have to be MAILED by election day, not in by election day.
There are still about 150,000 votes to count. But he is ahead.

Currently a 2,000 plus vote lead ... GO ROSSI!!! I heard however, that they still have like 46,000 ballots to count in King County ...

I can't find a source yet for the votes still to count and which counties they are in.... but Here's to hoping!
Thanks guys!
A recount is for sure -- within one-half percent, I think. Ya'll better watch those Dims -- extra boxes of absentee ballots may appear out of someone's trunk.
You might need some "independent observers" for the recount up in Washington state.
Why are they just doing this now? Was their election last week? Or are these absentee ballots or recounts or something?
