There are other sources that say he was a known homosexual including intelligence video etc. 2 + 2 = AIDS
It isn't as if we'll find out. He's already in the ground. No autopsy was performed per his own doctor, who wanted one done.
That's a lie!
The goats were all nannies.
how do you like the keyword i suggested above?
Many speculated that he had liver failure or that he had an acute cholecystitis, cholangitis with sepsis after a botched ERCP, etc..As to the liver failure part, he didn't really have much stigmata of end stage liver disease...not particularly jaundiced, no ascites. We can only speculate because of the thrombocytopenia (low platelets). As to the cerebral hemorrhage, could he have had ring enhancing lesions from toxoplasmosis or cryptococcus (commonly found in AIDS patients) and the French made the wrong diagnosis? Who knows! Granted he didn't have the temporal wasting and severe weight loss seen in advanced AIDS.
I've considered ITP, TTP, pancreatic ca...but why the secrecy and the shroud of a "blood disorder"? Are our French medical colleagues so incompetent that they can't give a cogent diagnosis?
Differential diagnosis for thrombocytopenia:
I. Decreased platelet production (marrow in adults)
A. Marrow infiltration with tumor, leukemia, fibrosis
B. Marrow failure - aplastic and hypoplastic anemias
C. HIV
D. Chronic alcoholism
II. Splenic sequestration
A. Splenic hypertrophy - tumor, portal hypertension (anything that can cause liver failure that leads to splenomegaly such as cirrhosis secondary to alcohol, hepatocellular carcinoma, Hepatitis B, C, etc...)
III. Increased platelet destruction
A. Nonimmune
1. Vascular prostheses, cardiac valves
2. DIC
3. Sepsis
4. Vasculitis
5. TTP
B. Immune
1. Autoantibodies (e.g., ITP)
2. Drug-associated antibodies
3. Circulatory immune complexes - SLE/lupus,
bacterial sepsis, viral agents, parasitic infections
4. HIV
IV. Lab error (my favorite nemesis)
That's all that I can remember from medical school and residency 15 yrs ago. Hey not too shabby, heh? I'm sure you guys can add more to the list.
Waiting for the truth to be confirmed.
AIDS? Shocked, shocked I tell you. AirOfat = POS.
And now we know why.
It was all PR. We don't accept blood from people living in certain regions.
I have a good friend who's husband was a war correspondent for the NYT. He had a close friend from Asia many years ago that did a story on Arafat for Vanity Fair and I'm told it was from that they knew he was gay. She told me that it has been well known among the "insiders" in the news business for many years that Arafat was a Gay Blade.
Its George W Bush's fault!! He didn't stop the aids pandemic.. (Oh that everything is Bush's fault was a couple of weeks ago sorry couldn't resist)... hahaha
too bad the times just dosn't say what most know
If Arafat did die of Aids, thank you to who ever created Aids. Aids did what Sharon, Netanyahu and Shamir could never do. It finished off the monster Arafat.
I say Aids appreciation thread.
You won't see a single major newscaster hint of AIDS...but you really start to see a strange fog fall over the entire story. No one asks what he had...they merely accept the brain hemmorage story period. But that didn't occur until the tests started...and was simply a by-product. If anyone tries to do a serious story on the entire PLO history...it starts to become a comical farce. Even the wife story...has so many holes in it...and becomes a significant joke.
".....Just wish he could have suffered more....."
Don't worry; he's suffering big-time now.
Judy:
While they do test---the test is by no means foolproof.
It can only detect if the body has begun to make the antibodies. If it has not, the test comes back negative--and some poor sot pays a horrible price for getting a blood transfusion.
I know--it happened to me. :-(
The SOB that donated blood that I got also had donated earlier. Some 17 y/o girl got it. When she found out she was infected, she commited suicide.
Well, he simply choked on his own perceived grandeur and symbolism. Garden variety case, described in all textbooks.
