I'm not aware that Bush or Guilliani ever slammed Kerry's medals.

Upon pointing out a photo in Stars and Stripes of some soldiers in Iraq who had earned Purple Hearts, during his Wednesday night "Morning Papers" segment on CNN's NewsNight, Brown sarcastically remarked: "Some day, one of them will run for President and someone will say they didn't earn the Purple Heart. Welcome to America."

Some day, one of the pilots currently flying F-16s for the National Guard will run for President and some smarmy prick of a reporter will say that by serving in the Guard he dodged his obligation to the nation. Perhaps the reporter will even produce a sheaf of crudely forged documents to "prove" his assertion. Welcome to America.
