They remember, and pass down. They remember World War I and World War II. I've never eaten with a Dutch family which did not each and every one clean their plates completely. That comes from remembrance of those horrific days. One older gentleman even relayed the account when he and his friend had to catch a dog for dinner. He even told how he joked about it that night while in bed by wimpering to his siblings. We don't have that type of parallel in America...

Which they won't, however, if their jihad is a truly held philosophy. I have read how China gives Muslims a very hard time, they are not much happier about that practice than they are about Christianity. Start a tit for tat war, and....

GOOD idea!
I wonder if there is some way we can "encourage" the sheetheads to start trouble in China?

Wow ...good thing America is not in the hands of the Dutch
They lose one of their 'Hollywood' types and they get pretty mad
We lose thousands of innocents in the WTC and Pentagon and stay calm and go
to war with tangos in their homelands (except for their main source of religious zeal that of course is off limits)
Meanwhile of course allowing them to build even more mosques and Islamic centers here and buy up more rural US land for their summer camps
And of course also allow their lobby groups and petrol dollars into our govt and political process..
Meanwhile our leaders still insist ..even on the campaign trail that Islam is a religion of peace.
Go figure
IMO

Of course all this is "just kidding" (alas). Uncle Sam would take a very dim view of Americans (other than CIA) trying to stir up international trouble.

Most Chinese belong to the Han Chinese ethnicity, but Muslims are , by far, of the Uighur ethnic group and live in the far western province of Xinjiang. The communist government for year has been colonizing this lands with Han Chinese to mitigate radicalism in the area, sometimes sparking violence with the Uighurs.

No mention of attacks on Christian churches and buildings, though.
I used to think this kind of omission was just liberal bias against the right generated for political reasons. Now I wonder if the left medias tendencies to leave out certain facts that would incriminate the terrorists is just their attempt to keep the islamic extremists from turning their focus on them and blowing up their news station. It reminds me of Mafia rule. Wieners!!! Get a Dutch to tell you how to deal with these animals.

Good point. No one wants to step up to belling the cat...lest he has his neck sawn next. Terror is effective.

How come the BBC did not report when the christian churces were attacked. Anyone?
I think (not entirely sure though) that was because that this happened in a nights were even more mosques/schools were attacked.

We lose thousands of innocents in the WTC and Pentagon and stay calm and go to war with tangos in their homelands
Without excusing attacks on mosques, etc, I think it has something to do with the following:
-since 9-11 the suspicion against Muslims has grown.
-extreme right has been oppressed since WW2 (no political outlet)
-the murderer was born and raised in Holland
All your terrorists were from countries like S-Arabia. Less "reason" to burn a mosque in Midland, Texas. Do they have a mosque over there? :-)

Yes ..but people are starting to stand up. It is becoming diffucult after looking at the world news everday to find a country that is not have a conflict with some Muslim group. Even France had a bout. What ever happened to those French reporters? Was that "swept under the rug"(coined a new phrase for French foriegn policy)?

Thats because the Dutch can trace a lot of their roots back to the Vikings. Yes, they can be easy going most of the time. Yes, they can take a lot and sit there smiling but crowd them a little too close or push them too far back in the corner and look out. That Viking blood boils to the top and the fights on.
My family tree came over at the turn of the last century from Norway and my blood has been at a low simmer for over three years.
