KERRY FIT TO SUE 'UNFIT' AUTHOR

November 18, 2004 -- LIBERAL loser John Kerry might be planning to strike back at John O'Neill, the "Unfit for Command" author who claims some of the credit for Kerry's defeat, sources say.

In the book, published by Regnery not long before the election, O'Neill — who, like Kerry, commanded swift boats in Vietnam — attacked Kerry's war record and branded him a traitor.

O'Neill sold over 800,000 copies and his group, Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, raised $25 million to battle the Kerry campaign and ran TV ads trashing the candidate. Former Sen. Bob Dole endorsed the group.

O'Neill says he wrote the book because Kerry called his fellow Vietnam vets monsters, terrorists and war criminals, for which he has never apologized.

I truly contend that Kerry believes he is a war hero. He has played the part for so long I think he's blurred the line of reality.

Funny, but probably true. I said months ago, he was delusional and had told so many fabrications of stories that he came to believe them---just like his 50-some retellings of his Christmas 1968 in Cambodia---which apparently was an outright lie.

Yeah, that's the guy. It's hard to keep your historical footnotes straight these days. This is the one that was after the guy in the tank, and the guy who was attacked by a rabbit, right?

I can't tell which one Kerry is though. He's either the valiant, decorated Vietnam war hero, or that pro-communist anti-war protester who lied before Congresss.

"I truly contend that Kerry believes he is a war hero. He has played the part for so long I think he's blurred the line of reality."

I have a slightly different take on this. You're right, he convinces himself he is a war hero. But he really knows he isn't. He knows what he did and didn't do. Like Lori Hacking's husband (he offed his wife after she discovered he had built a persona based on lies), Kerry has functioned since Viet Nam within his house of deceit. I think he's racked with guilt because of it (maybe that's why he supposedly has bad nightmares) and therefore has to attack those who know the truth in a frantic attempt to keep the truth from coming out. I suspect he absolutely hates John O'Neill, because O'Neill has truth on his side, and hates the fact that almost all of those that served with him (the 254 SwiftVets) also all know the truth, and turned on him like he turned on them. Deep down inside, I believe Kerry despises himself for what he did, and it's a case of a superiority complex hiding an inferiority complex. This man has no core, and I believe knows he will never measure up to John O'Neill, so much a better man than Kerry. I think Kerry is incredibly envious of all the support O'Neill et al have gotten, and therefore will try to kill (not literally) O'Neill off. Kerry is fixated on Viet Nam, and has been for all these many years since the war. He can't get off the subject. When his campaign staffers tried to get him to change the subject to domestic affairs, especially toward the end of the campaign, he couldn't do it. He was still fixated on war, both in Iraq and his bete noir, Viet Nam. The man, really, is sick. Thank goodness he lost.

He's both. See, where you get confused is you think Viet Nam war hero automatically means for our side. No, he was a hero for the other side. They even honored him with a photo in their museum of war crimes.

This might be GREAT. Will Kerry have to PROVE the accusations are not true? How can he do that but by releasing his records. John O'Neill is a lawyer and can certainly hold his own against Kerry

He's the guy who won a ribbon (or was it a medal - he talked about them interchangeably) for pulling a hamster out of the water while under enemy fire in Cambodia.

Or something along those lines...

It's pretty clear that John O'Neill is 10x the man Kerry is, and 10x the lawyer I'd wager.

I thought he won his ribbon/medal for shooting a fleeing teenager in the back.

I believe we're both on the same side of the question, m'friend, we've just expressed similar views in different fashions.

Just as an aside, do please hold the thought that 'grace' and 'gigolo', used as descriptive terms, are every bit as stable and compatible in a political context as are dry nitrogen triiodide and air in a chemical context.

He will try to find some minute detail that is wrong, sue on that, and if he wins, he and the old media will all talk about how the Swifties were sued and lost and thus discredited. He doesn't have to prove the whole book is false, just one piece.

"Who the hell is John Kerry? Isn't he one of those historical footnotes or something?"

I think he use to be a senator or something.

Yea. He should sue. Most definately. John O'Neill and the SBV's will have their legal expenses payed by us while little johnny gets money his mom, Teresa, and his dad, George Soros.

Things overlooked in the course of this campaign, phony 'seared' memories, lucky caps from non-existent CIA agents, staged home movies, etc., will be dissected repeatedly. Every day some additional question, another bit of info, another fact, perhaps even from his yet-to-be-released military records, all piecing together the true portrait of JFinK, covered dutifully by Court TV and Greta Van Sustern.

Let's go. Must see TV.

This would be wonderful. The backlash would pretty much end his career and hurt the DNC.
