"Why we post"
Because we see and hear the same news and often doubt its credibility; because we see and hear things in the news that disappear from sight, never followed up on by the MSM until they break later with a different slant.
"Why we post" so that I can talk to you and read what your thoughts on matters are.

Maybe I've been hanging around FR too much, but MANY times, I've found myself reading an article in the online local paper, drudge, yahoo, and disagreeing with it or the writer, and then when getting ready to fire both barrels...
I realized there wasn't a reply button on the page.
Um... oops. duh.
Mercifully, no one was watching.

Why do we post? In the MSM, it's who you know, and your politics and academic background. On the Internet, it's what you know, how you state it and how far you're willing to go to get to the truth....

The best thing about Blogs and forums like FreeRepublic is that our words are written down. Being written, they are subject to analysis and review by legions of folks who add their input.
The liberal MSM is dedicated to half-true sound bites designed to support their skewed views. When written down and disected on our Forum, FreeRepublic as well as other conservative blogs, thses sound bites can be placed in the proper context and their longterm veracity determined. The MSM is in direct support of the Democratic Socialists goals for the USA and they look forward to a time when Americans live the pitiful lives of the EUroweenies.

I doubt very seriously that you are right. I read it all, and found it to be very good.

I realized there wasn't a reply button on the page. It is called 'Freepitis'. It is a common condition which is easily remedied by making a beeline back to FR.

Nice post. I think it paints a good bit of the picture. Sure can't have a thin skin here and you'd better be factual. MSM dialog sure won't cut it in here. We have decades of hands on experience here in most any subject somewhere lurking about.
