Which party would he be running for? A Hillary/McCain ticket would be interesting for the Dem's. How about McCain/Specter (so very RINO) for the Pub's? McCain/Nader?

The problem is that Guiliani is far more liberal than McCain.

Catholics and other pro-life Republicans were thrilled that some bishops gave Kerry a hard time about receiving Holy Communion and his general standing in the Church because of his stand on life issues. The shoe will be on the other foot if Guilliani runs...he'll be opposed by the same bishops for the same reasons. I'll never vote for a pro abortion and pro gay rights candidate for President. Never.

I agree with you. But here is the dilemna as I see it:

Nobody likes McCain. Most of us like Guiliani, but disagree with his politics. Cheney has too many health issues and absolutely says he won't run. Jeb Bush says he won't run either. Condi Rice has never run for any office and I suspect doesn't want the scrutiny. So, who else is there to run who has any chance of beating Hitlery?

Arizona Sen. John McCain said Sunday that while he has no current plans to make a run for the White House in 2008, he would not rule it out.

THE SOUTH WILL TAKE CARE OF THIS ONE... NO TO McCAIN IN 2008!

You would be stupid not to think he was running. You think McCain was running around supporting Bush because he likes him?

I had thought if he ran against Hillary he would do well but now I'm not so sure. He usually tries to be collegial and get along so well with the other side of the aisle that I have to wonder if he would be hesitant to attack her, or any Demo. I fear he would let the disastrous Bill Clinton record slide. The record of weakness, vacillation, and failure to go after the terrorists.

Rice has never been married, nor has she ever had a long-term relationship that anyone is aware of. That leads to a lot of questions that she may not want to answer and the press (who have clearly established their hatred for Rice) would have a field day with.

Tancredo has principles to get his base fired up.

He is right on values, immigration, etc......

And he will carry Cali-Freek-onia. Since I am an immigrant and Californian, the biggest problem in our states is Illegal Aliens. Most people, even HISPANICS are sick of it. It is win win issue for our party. I don't know why my fellow Republicans don't raise this issue in elections.

O.K., let Gipetto carve the stump into a puppet named Pinoccio...then run the puppet...

Seriously, I'm not worried...who would have thought in 2000 that John Kerry and John Edwards would run?

The right candidate will appear...just give it time.
