Litle Susie mighty pissed. Wake up little Susie, you didn't get what you wanted, but you got what you asked for.

After 2000, there was much talk that Gore would run, and he decided against it very very late. The grassroots are not cheering for Kerry. I think mostly because they expect Hillary!

Hi AD.

I think you're right, although it makes my stomach hurt to think about it. :-(

Susan E is either got wrong or is afraid to tell the truth. The truth is, THK is a type: a very wealthy woman who has lived for so many years in the bubble or privilege and wealth that she genuinely doesn't care what people think. More than likely, she is even a little perturbed at having been told that she has to care. Consequently, she comes off as a deranged beatnik, if beatniks wore $800 slacks. This is even worse than Hillary, since most people can recognize her type -- much more down market -- she's the hyper-aggressive Century 21 real estate broker or the asst. general manager of the local mall.

The Secret Service duties ended for Kerry right after the election.

Love this part:
...Teresa had not been a team player in this campaign; that she is an egocentric, arrogant, full-of-herself, spoiled rotten witch, with a checkbook, who thinks that just because she's rich she's smarter than anybody else.

Yeah you're right! Susan is passive/aggressive..Did anyone see her during the election talking to Brit Hume.. he slipped (i think) and called her a "know it all" and told her to explain some stuff etc...anyway, if looks could kill, Brit would be as dead as a door nail right now"...He apologized every which way at the end of the interview, but she cut him no slack!

If that's not the real Teresa Heinz Kerry, she needs to do some real work to step forward

What difference does it make? The people taking her checks are happy to do so regardless how weird she is.

Please don't post any comments on Susans personal appearance, voice, drinking habits or etc

Does that mean THK's appearance, voice, drinking habits, etc...are fair game?

Hmmmmmm.....Is the illegitimate daughter of Carol Channing (voice, huge mouth/teeth)?

OTOH, has Ms. Channing ever made noises of wanting to sue Susan Estrich for unlawful lifting of her voice?

"...how many fencesitters caught Mama T.'s act and contrasted it with Laura Bush's conduct?"

I'd have crawled on my hands and knees across broken glass to vote for President Bush, but if I were an undecided voter, I'd sure have taken that into consideration. I am sure many did!

And another thing, I never thought I'd read Susan and agree with her on anything!

Ok with your premise, but one drunks analysis of another has no interest to me.

The truth is that Mrs. Heinz Kerry has done a great deal more than that, including running a major foundation in the years since her husband died.
This is the best Susan and the entire left could come up with about Teresa.  The question nobody ever asked was; "Did she really run the foundation and did she run it well?"
I believe Susan (and others) have intentionally ignored this question.

She also called voters "idiots," when they didn't agree with her health plan
I imagine that Susan means "John's health plan", but nonetheless, does this sound like a person that reasons with logic or shoots from the hip with emotion?

A woman Kerry supporter who got a "sense that Teresa had not been a team player in this campaign; that she is an egocentric, arrogant, full-of-herself, spoiled rotten witch, with a checkbook, who thinks that just because she's rich she's smarter than anybody else."  Now Susan seems to have gotten this one correct.

She was a convincing Mrs. Kerry, and a Democrat to boot. Indeed, in Iowa and New Hampshire, when the crowds were small -- of voters and media -- she was widely regarded as an asset, connecting especially with middle-age women, who responded to her passion and her intelligence.
I haven't been convinced that the above statement is correct.  I still believe that the media just wanted it to be correct so they would have a 'Mother Teresa' to write about.  A sixty-five year old woman with money is most certainly set in her ways if anything. The media early on was attempting to turn her boneheaded off-the-cuff remarks into comments worthy of Mark Twain, but later realized that you can't make a silk purse...

All in all my analysis of Susan's article is that it really solves nothing and it's not a thought provoking article on the election.
