This just gets funnier and funnier. They have counted about 68,500 thus far, and they probably have about 32,000 - 42,000 more to count. Status? Bush has gained votes on Kerry. At this point, I suspect Bush will end this count with a 120,000 to 140,000 vote lead.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Bush can still pull this one out. I don't think I could stand 4-8 years of Kerry/Edwards.

When will we know for sure?

The dems at DU are still in delusional mode. Even with the actual vote. 77% of the provisionals counted, etc. They still think Kerry is going to win Ohio and get 90% of the remaining votes. It's one thing to be passionate about your candidate or cause. But for so many people to just be totally out of touch, is kind of scary. And the folks at DU think the MSM is not reporting all this fraud because they are "in bed" with the republicans. HA HA HA! Get real folks.

90% won't happen and even if it did it would not cut it. He needs 132,000 and he only has at most about 40,000 remaining provisional ballots.

The dems at DU are still in delusional mode.

Obviously. That is self-evident in how they could "want" Kerry so much (even keeping in mind their fervent anti-Bush hatred)--boring, uncharismatic, unlikable, crappy legislative record and ghastly-looking to boot (unless you happen to have a thing for Frankenstein, Herman Munster, Lurch or Mr. Ed).

Ok, this is pretty funny, but the Gov. race in this state is NOT funny at all. The dems have pulled out all the stops. It stinks to high heaven. WA state is either a laughing stock or a proving ground.

Any other states unsure of their GOV. race?

They'll never lose "hope," NEVER. Even when the vote is certified, they hope many of Bush's electors will defect. When that doesn't happen, they think their people in Congress will stop the EV from being counted. And when that doesn't happen and W is sworn in again, they will still hold out hope that this whole "vote fraud scandal" will blow-up and W will be driven out of office in disgrace. Hell, even when he leaves office 4 years from now, they'll think he'll eventually go to the slammer for his "crimes."

OK, maybe it's late and I'm tired...but why do some of the "additional votes" add up to MORE than the approved provisional ballots? For example,

Adams Co:

According to elections officials, 192 provisional ballots were okayed out of 258 cast. The results are Bush +173, Kerry +91

So that's 173 + 91 = 264 out of 258 cast???

You are correct in the assertion that they will never give up. Their flu fever induced hatred from President Bush is bliding them completely. This win may be much better than we all think. From what I can see so far, the lefties are in extreme denial that they lost fairly. Because of this, they are not budging off of their core issues. We have yet to see if those that represent them will do the same. If so, the mid-terms look to be very pleasant for us. ;)

about 32,000 - 42,000 more to count

Well then, Kerry only needs between 300 and 400 percent of these ballots to close the gap.

Don't be fooled DU lurkers! The fraud is real! You guys have the power to stop the fraud by promoting the following safety measures:
* Stopping the evil Ashcroft/Republican motor-voter laws.
* Require photo IDs at the voting booth.
* Require prove of citizenship when registering to vote.
* Increase fines and penalties for vote fraud.

All us Freepers are scared to death you guys will start doing these things (no, really).

When will we know for sure?

I'm afraid it could take years. After Bush wins the provisional count, there is always voter suppression, intention, and machine irregularities. After Bush wins that round, every voter will be required to go through extensive interviews to determine how they accidentally voted for Bush. Perhaps, they will determine it was bad lighting and expensive lighting will need to be installed in all voting booths across the country for the next election. All nonvoters will be required to be interviewed as well, to determine how those mean Republicans kept them from the voting. I'm afraid that they will never concede until they have someone/something to blame it on.

The voters pick the President, Not CBS or CNN.

OH is not even done counting their first vote. Some of the counties will not even start counting until mid Dec. It is almost certain that their will be a recount immediately after the first count is certified.

Now think about this...There were over 5 million votes cast in OH. I estimate it takes about an hour to count and verify 100 votes. Kerry is the candidate that will have to pay for a recount. If he only agrees to hire one vote counter, it could take almost 25 years to count all the votes, assuming a 40 hour work week, holidays, and a progressive vacation schedule( 1 week off the 1st and 2nd years, 2 weeks off 3rd and 4th years 3 weeks off until the 10th year and 4 weeks off each remaining year.) By that time it is entirly likely that most conservatives will have lost interest. In fact if someone forgets to write down the final total, we might have to go through the whole process again.

Now you can sit in front of your computer screen with your rose colored glasses and spout off your Pollyanna predictions but some of us think this is series.

To: Tennessean4Bush; All

This website provides data for 66 counties, but only includes 65 in its current count?!

FYI: Of the 22 remaining counties, President Bush originally won 12 and Kerry won 10 (Bush +2). This +2 advantage will help the President deflect potentially large gains for Kerry from the still-to-report counties of Cuyahoga (Cleveland) and Franklin (Columbus) -- Hamilton (Cincinnati) and Montgomery (Dayton) have already been included in this cite's tallies.

Bottomline: The President will own a lead of at least 100,000 votes going into a possible recount; consequently, even if all 90,000 'soiled' ballots are included in the recount (improbable) and go 100% for Kerry (statistically impossible), the President will still retain his victory in Ohio!

[BTW: It's HIGHLY probable that Ohio will certify its election/determine its EC reps BEFORE a recount can be completed, making the recount absolutely meaningless!!]

I have seen several posts by Freepers that were poll workers who explained the "soiled" or "spoiled" ballots as ballots where a voter made a mistake and asked for a new one. If that is the case, there is no way they would be counted- they are duplicate (and flawed) votes.

583+756 makes up 838 provisional ballots allowed? That is eerie indeed!

While I don't doubt this is the case, WHY keep them around for for the democrats to use as just another way to try to include them? When the voter makes a mistake and asks for a new ballot, why aren't they torn up, shredded, thrown away right away, etc.? Or at the very least, the word VOID should be written in large letters in red ink over it.

I know they're delusional, but ummmmmmm . . . HOW can they think Kerry can possibly prevail? First off, many of the counties have already counted their provisional/absentee ballots, so even if Kerry were to win every single one of the remaining ones left (impossible), he'd still fall short. And as for the spoiled ballots, they're, well, spoiled, so they don't count, if I'm not mistaken. The dems can sue and sue their way to Timbuktu to get all the invalid provisionals and spoiled ballots counted, but they don't have any of their crooked friends in charge to aid them.

Did you happen to read just exactly HOW they think Kerry will manage to flip the state?

And another point I forgot--how can they overcome Bush's sizeable enough 135,000 vote lead when they couldn't even do it in FL in 2000, when he had an alarmingly tiny 1200 vote lead and the dems had some of their people in charge to help them (the FL supreme court, the 2-1 democrat to republican county board of elections in democrat counties). Oh well, I guess being a deluded democrat means never having to consider, much less face, these facts.

I think what the DUers are solely expecting now is imminent proof of massive fraud in the regular votes cast which apparently is just on the Republican side and so massive that it will erase the lead Bush has.

They are also blathering about how they won Florida, and recently have been talking to a lesser degree about getting NM, IA and NV back on their side.

They *really* need mental help and/or need to continue their education beyond the 6th grade.
