Soros Waging Financial War on U.S.?
FR Forum ^

Posted on 11/28/2004 5:30:54 AM PST by shubi

Time magazine has characterized financier George Soros as a "modern-day Robin Hood," who robs from the rich to give to the poor countries of eastern Europe and Russia. It claimed that Soros makes huge financial gains by speculating against western central banks, in order to use his profits to help the emerging post-communist economies of eastern Europe and former Soviet Union, to assist them to create what he calls an "Open Society." The Time statement is entirely accurate in the first part, and entirely inaccurate in the second. He robs from rich western countries, and uses his profits to rob even more savagely from the East, under the cloak of "philanthropy." His goal is to loot wherever and however he can. Soros has been called the master manipulator of "hit-and-run capitalism."

As we shall see, what Soros means by "open," is a society that allows him and his financial predator friends to loot the resources and precious assets of former Warsaw Pact economies. By bringing people like Jeffrey Sachs or Sweden's Anders Aslund and their economic shock therapy into these economies, Soros lays the groundwork for buying up the assets of whole regions of the world at dirt-cheap prices.

The man who broke the Bank of England?

An examination of Soros's secretive financial network is vital to understand the true dimension of the "Soros problem" in eastern Europe and other nations.

Soros may be attempting to avenge the leftist loss by manipulating currency markets. He also speculates in gold and may be making millions from the Bush win and his ruthless intervention in markets.

Several million even a few billion can't take down a 10 Trillion dollar economy. It only takes one wrong move in the speculative markets to wipe Soros out.

And I believe there are lots of very smart people out there who will team up and they are just waiting for him to make the mistake that will take him down.

This needs to be reported more in the media. Although Soros' tactics and obejectives are widely known in the financial community and, especially among Central Bankers, the average citizen and the average Democrat think he IS like Robin Hood or a white knight. The boys in the big markets know what he is about though.

Soros specializes in weakening/collapsing the currencies of entire nations for his own selfish interests. Other people suffer so he can get rich. He "supports" anything that brings down societies (i.e., legalization of drugs, manipulating outcomes to the election, oppositions to the Iraq war, fronting radical left leaning groups like the Tide Foundation, etc.). He tries to portray himself as a person who wants equality for all, but in reality all he wants is to enrich himself and manipulate others.

I recall good ol' George saying he would enter a monastery if Dubya won reelection. Any news? Has he donned a cloak and a chastity belt yet?
I won't bet the ranch on it. Sigh...

What an insult to Robin Hood

Perhaps comparisons to "Friar Duck" would be more pertinent.

This is exactly what concerns me. I am also concerned that Soros seems to coordinate his activities with the leftist press. They are harping on the weakness of the dollar against the Euro lately. I would be that Soros is short on the dollar and investing in the Euro to make the spread steeper.

It would also not surprise me a bit to see Soros enriching Dan Rather and others of his ilk as a bribe to support his schemes. (I know this sounds like a conspiracy theory, but it really does need to be investigated)

The left always uses Robin Hood as a model and an comparison to what they do. In reality, Robin Hood stole from the government who overtaxed the people and gave the people back their money, which is a tax cut. Robin Hood was a conservative.
