Not that I don't love a good panic first thing in the morning, nor do I think that what you've posted isn't plausible...the thing is, what can you and I do about it? Is there something beyond the normal flu prevention we should do? Does the current flu vaccine cover this? Do I have to stop feeding the birds in my back yard?

As to the CDC and the "widespread" label tapped on Delaware........the "widespread" label is given to a state where flu has appeared in all or most counties. Delaware has had a grand total of 6 (count'em) 6 cases of flu reported...but they are spread through all 3 counties.

Do not presume to talk about an area of which you apparently have little or no knowlege.

The case fatality rate for 2004 H5N1 is 70% and the median age for fatal cases is 13

This is hogwash. Last year it was SARS that was supposed to migrate around the globe and kill millions. The year before that it was West Nile Virus. The only thing the WHO cares about is scaring enough people into giving them millions more dollars. Now that I've visited that site, I must clense myself in sanity. Truly that site seems more delusional day after day. Just when I think they can't get more nuts, I'm surprised to find a new level of insanity. I don't know how these people can remain in the public sphere. I have to go with my two theories, either they are all kids (which does seem likely due to their language) or they are foreigners, mainly from France.
