Nice try, pinky, but no prize for you. I don't like Dreier because of what he's done on immigration. But I suppose it's no surprise to see you focusing on Dreier's, umm, perverse mating habits. You do seem eager to ride to the defense of the Pink Team when anyone implies they aren't normal. But don't worry, sinkspur, when it comes time to kiss Dreier's bride you can have him/her all to yourself.
That is a very well done flame, naughty and outrageous, but funny. Let me help you with some of this. Drier is already tacking, the man is not stupid, and pushed, and is pushing, the driver's license detour and litmus test thingie as red meat to feed the wolves, and he will win both the primary and the general election next time. You can write that down. The man knows how to survive. He may be gay, but he knows how to counterpunch with the most macho of his interlocutors.
Nope, I try to keep up with the players in the nation as a whole. For the most part, I'm pretty up to speed. I have heard that Karl Rove was wanting Dreier to run. It did make sense to me. You have to admit, he and Chris Cox are probably two of the better known Republican Congressmen from California. Personally, I would rather have Cox in the Senate, but is he strong enough? Dreier has built up a national base with his time as Chair of GOPAC, is more moderate (which puts him more in line with the average California voter), and is telegenic and a good speaker.
Like I said, if you can elect a more conservative person to replace him Congress, by all means, go for it. But I don't think you can elect a more conservative person against Feinstein. Even if Dreier were the nominee and the social conservatives did not desert him in November, I'd still say he's the underdog. But I'm not sure anyone has a better chance. Can you think of anyone?
Sure, Clint Eastwood.
What was it President Reagan used to say? "Anyone whos with me 80% of the time is my friend." Hmmm. If the Great Communicator would approve of Dreier, maybe we should too.
LOL Don't get me wrong, I love Clint! But 1) He's not a spring chicken, and 2) he would have no party apparatus to help him get elected. Indies and third party candidates can get elected to executive positions, but congressional seats are MUCH tougher. Bernie Sanders is really the one exception, but I'm starting to believe the the folks up in Vermont are all smoking crack anyway. Where else could you, at one point, have one Republican Senator, one Democrat Senator, a Socialist Congressman and Howard Dean as Governor????
Oh dear, do you listen to John and Ken?
They are playing you for a fool, all they want is ratings, and they think that rantings=ratings.
How long will they keep talking about Peterson?
A brainless show.
Dreier may be gay, but he's certainly no girlie-man.
Actually we are playing the for fools. All we want is media attention about immigration.
