It is a misnomer commonly put forth by the Gil Cedios that licenses in any way affects them getting insurance, therefore making our streets safer. They can get insurance if they can afford it, they choose not to. It might make it slightly worse since more would drive that are intimidated now, and you can't fail that test if you try, the testing means zip. Besides, giving them a license with an astrik would be one more way they could find to fool you as an employer. That's not even touching the whole "ID" side of it for terrorists.
I don't know about this I-9, or how it was falsified, but I do know that its more than likely you did nothing wrong, because you were obviously paying taxes for someone you had proof was legal. Many here pay cash only, they are fully aware they are committing a crime and there is no legal defense for them. They are a better example then you, because with you it would be tied in the courts for many reasons. All we need is a few "examples"
Eventually, sycophant Republicans will wake up and realize this issue goes far beyond stupid party loyalty.
By the time they join the rest of us, hopefully it is not too late.
And they've lived the past 12 years or so here in L.A. Amidst the traffic. The crime. The overcrowded schools. The closing hospitals. And the Raza-Nazi Mexican socialists that run this state and the Republican tofu-spines who sell out to them. Makes them as much Californian as me, with as much right to complain and want something done.
Then the morons are from N'Joisy!
I don't remember giving a thumb print, but I do remember a HUGE collasal hassle of finding my original birth certificate. Therefore the solution is clear, we need to get illegals SS #s and American birth certificates, because after all, we want them to drive safely.
No, hopefully (hope in one hand...) there will be another (R) challenging Drier in his district. That would be ideal.
I do know that we have to do something to break the status-quo. The Democratic Party refused to help Drier's challenger with money, because she was threatening the safe districting bs they spent the last 20 years tweaking.
On this last election, the Democratic party was de-facto supporting the most powerful Republican in the state by refusing to support his challenger....a (D).
Something ain't right, dood. You don't see it?
So how'd it go?
I was not able to make this one, but this is the report:
We had five spirited ralliers show up. We got thumbs ups and honks. We held the rally in front of Dreier's office.
Two of us went up to Dreier's office and asked to schedule an appointment with Dreier about illegal immigration. They said he wasn't in and they would call us back regarding the appointment.
A really nice aide helped us and said he'd get back to us.
The bannister up to office is gold! It's on the second floor of an office building. Dreier had about 6 guys in ties bustling around working. He has a swank, spacious office.
We Fire Dreier people held a meeting after the Rally and about 8 of us were there.

Neither one.
They are from New Joisy. And for years after they arrived in LA they dismissed all the complaints about immigration- in fact, they sounded pretty much like you. So, you're right, they were morons. But they have still proven capable of learning from rude experience.
Morons leading sheeple to republican sacrifice though is certainly not the answer. Nor do I believe the hyperbole that we're being sold out. I have to trust my leaders and we only have two years. If we blow this chance, maybe I'll join the morons in nihilistic anarchy.
You need to buy yourself a new almanac. Orange County has undergone a huge demographic transition since the mid 1980s.
A large number of those who benefitted from the 1986 amnesty settled in north Orange County. The first election they could vote in was the 1996 election. Loretta Brixey, who lost in her first attempt at running for office, adjusted to this situation by registering as a Democrat and running under her maiden name, Loretta Sanchez.
Her new constituents, the ones who are displacing the previous residents of Orange County, want a lot of government services. There's a lesson here, and it isn't that Bob Dornan ran a bad campaign. Dornan used to be a big Open Borders cheerleader. He simply was one of the first to experience one of the unintended consequences of what he promoted.
You can say a lot of things about Dreier. He may be to the left of the average Republican Congressman. But you can't accuse him of not being a loyal partisan. He is a Republican through and through, regardless of his views on particular issues. For crying out loud, the man was the Chairman of GOPAC!!! You can trust him to vote for the right leadership.
Why should I care if he's "a loyal Republican"? He's also helping to wreck California with his position on immigration. While you apparently think being "Republican" is the end-all of political virtue, I sure as hell don't.
I think you confuse my stance. I think that the Republican Party is the only party (with legitimate chances of winning) that represents conservative values. Now, yes there are members of the Republican Party who are not conservative, but on the whole, the majority of the Party is, and even the ones that are not are still probably more conservative than their Democrat opposition.
If Dreier were in the Senate, he would vote for conservative leadership. People like Bill Frist, Mitch McConnell, Rick Santorum, etc. Feinstein would continue voting for people like Harry Reid, Barbara Mikulski, etc. Which one better represents YOUR values?
Personal views are important, but never forget, there is NO MORE IMPORTANT of vote than that for leadership.
Well let's see. Dreier is an open borders zealot. He's gay. He's a stranger to truth who has made a career of misleading his constituents. Tell you what, why don't you Kentuckians invite him to represent your State? My prediction is that not only won't he be a Senator from California, he won't even survive the next Republican primary in his district. He's going to have a serious conservative challenge, and all the RNC hacks who swoon over him won't be able to save his sorry hide.
My question was in regards to a direct head-to-head race between David Dreier and Dianne Feinstein. Which one would vote on legislation the way you would want them to MOST OFTEN? Which one would vote for the leadership you would rather have?
Your question is pointless. Dreier isn't going to get the nomination out here, but for the sake of argument assuming he did he isn't going to get the support of conservatives. They'll stay home, just like they've done for the other RNC hacks that have been foist upon them in too many recent elections.
I'm curious about your interest in Dreier and the Senate. Is he the only California Republican name you know? He's hardly that well known outside of southern California, and his fame in this part of the State isn't the sort he wants. What should have been an easy win for him wasn't, and this is because the more that conservative voters here have become familiar with him the less they like him. He did far better when he was little known and his lies went unnoticed by the voting public. That changed last time, and it's not going to get better for him next time around.
Who? If the challenger is anything like those goofy "conservatives" put up against Boxer or Gray Davis, Drier will skate to another term.
You don't like Drier 'cause he's gay, right?
You never change. Bigoted to the core.
