For despondent Democrats there's a new treatment, if not a cure, for their lingering Election Day blues. Think retail therapy.

A Web site called Choose the Blue is offering shopping advice this holiday season, providing information about which companies' employees give to Democrats and which prefer Republicans.

Since Hollywood overwhelmingly supports Rats, I would advise most freepers to boycott hollywood completely. I just discovered that much of Hollywoods profits are a result of 12-17 year old boys going again and again to see the same movies. If you have a boy that age, get him involved in athletics. Don't drop him off at the mall and let him spend his money (your money) on these Leftwing films.

Don't know if I can trust their figures. These are DEMS . . after all. These are people with degrees, and no education.

Assuming . . assuming the numbers are right, it's nice to see. I knew Amazon was Dem from their handling of The Passion and Unfit for Command. But they're close to 50/50. So that was surprizing. I didn't realize Costco was so firmly Dem. That's really disappointing. I'm glad to see Home Depot and Wal-mart/Sams-Club are solid GOP. I tend to shop there. Circuit City, also solid GOP. I don't shop there. But I'd go there in a second rather than Best Buy. Barcaly and Littman. I wonder about Cartier, which has a store nearby? Staples and Target, too. I hate Target's anti-SA policy. Many do. But I do hit Staples on occasion. To be fair, it's cheaper to buy on the www, than Staples.

But this could be useful. All the places I normally go, except Costco, turn out to be solid GOP. That's great! I feel good.

Heinz Co gave 83% to the REPUBLICANS -- and 50% of that was Tere'sa's attitude.

I had a feeling she was trying the throw the election to Bush.

Looks like the Democrats are going on a diet -- most of them will starve to death if they only eat foods from "Blue" sources.

And if they only purchase products from "Blue" sources their lives will be spartan.

Gotta love the RED in RED, white and blue.

Kind of sucks, looks like most of the quality clothing companys and my favorite skin care products, particularly "Origins" are all blue donors. On the store side....very surprisng that Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie were republican donors.

Just go to choosetheblue.com, and look up whatever table you're interested in....there is no registration and the lists are far too long.

Step 2 of P.E.S.T. as recommended by blue state Therapists requires distraught Democrats to paint their bodies blue to remind them of who they are. The Smurf hats were contributions from red state Therapists just trying to help.

Where are they going to buy FOOD? Red zones grow all the food. Even in the "organic" movement, despite the liberal bent of most of the customers, most of the actual farmers are hardcore conservatives.

Did a little research and found the following:

There are 1102 different categories listed on this site.

Of them, 730 are "red" contributors and 372 are "blue."

Of the 372 "blue" contributors, about 15% are from entertainment industries.

I'd hate to live in a world where only the "blue companies" provided my goods and services. I'd be hungry, thirsty, cold, stuck in the dark, carless and homeless, I wouldn't be able to order concert tickets online, and I wouldn't be pulling for the most talented rookie quarterback this year.

A blue world is depressing.

How many of the blue grocery stores get their products from red states or red areas? I really think they should boycott EVERYTHING red, even if you can find it in a blue store. Just think how great their lives would be? LOL

Cool:

WalMart gift cards (80% pubbie) instead of OldNavy (38% pubbie) I traditionally have been getting.

Thanks for the heads up!

Great....now I know which blue stores to avoid. Typical of the democrats to try something and blow it (no pun intended).

Couldn't they figure out that red voters would use this list to punish blue donating companies? There are a whole lot more red voters and red areas than blue....what a bunch of idiots.

Well, I was starting to think that Japan had finally paid it's penance for WW II and I might buy a Toyota 4 door truck then I find that Toyota is a blue company. Too bad.
