This is strictly a vanity - what's your opinion of the show Newlyweds? Of course its MTV. Not every day you get to follow a married couple around for an entire season on the air like Nick and Jessica Simpson. No, it doesn't have the skanky Paris Hilton X-rated stuff. They didn't go into the bathroom or the bedroom. I got that and Peter Jackson's Expanded Edition of The The Return Of The King. Feel free to pound away Freepers. Merry Christmas!

I liked watching it. I don't know how it's possible to love and hate Jessica Simpson at the same time but I managed to do so :o)

I wouldn't dream of it... it doesn't seem politically correct to celebrate married love in this country, does it?

No that's not where it's at married love. It's a bit too convicting for most people who like their non-stop fornication.

The only reality show I watched with any interest was the first season of Apprentice. I saw the original Real World on MTV and it was great... even the season with Pedro the HIV positive gay male was great. Now it's just boring sex-o-rama.

Oh come on! You can't tell me that Meet Your New Mommy (or whatever they call it) isn't compelling TV! Ripping a mother out of the house and bringing in a replacement mom who is mean as crap is just funny. Who cares about psychological scars - screaming, crying kids who just want their mommies is funny.

I loved the show. Yeah, yeah, it's fluff and "dumb" and all that. But in this era where there is so much ugliness in the world, it's nice to put your brain in neutral for a half hour and not be bombarded with negativity. They're a nice couple, relatively God-fearing compared to much of the rest of the entertainment industry, and two people who obviously care about one another. I think they're also conservatives judging by the picture they proudly display of themselves with George and Laura Bush. And Jessica regularly entertains the troops. It's nice to see a TV show about a marriage that works, rather than "Desperate Housewives" or something such as that which denigrates marriage. Sure it's all empty intellectual calories, but enjoy. It has some fun humor to it and you'll really learn to like these two really decent and enjoyable people. Have fun!

Marriage isn't like it used to be. When we've got more news about Bernie Kerik than a well adjusted decent couple, we've got a problem in this country.

The Swan is funny too, but only because they're hardly any better looking after all the plastic surgery. Reality TV just gives the rest of us a chance to laugh at how pathetic everyone else is. Of course, if the trend doesn't stop pretty soon we'll all eventually end up on a reality TV show. I just hope I'm on one with a $1 million prize! (or Jessica Simpson)
