Chirac to make Turkey's case on French TV
EU Observer ^ | Dec 15 2004 | Honor Mahony

This extraordinary step comes as Mr Chirac faces strong opposition from members of the public and from within his own centre-right UMP party to Turkey's entrance into the Union. A poll published by Le Figaro on Monday showed that 67 percent of French voters were against Turkey's entry as are several prominent politicians in the UMP, including the man lining himself up to be Mr Chirac's successor, Nicolas Sarkozy.

Path cleared for early referendum in France
by Richard Carter
Dec 15 2004
French authorities need to send "electoral material" to 42 million voters. This material will be a copy of the EU Constitution and the question to be put to the people, according to Le Figaro. And the earliest date these documents can be prepared and sent is 15 May, ruling out a vote on Europe Day (9 May). The vote will cost nearly 75 million euro, according to Marc le Fur, budget rapporteur in the Interior Ministry. The printing and delivery of the material alone will cost 40 million.

The only question is if France and the rest of the EU feel like PAYING for Turkish roads, public transportation, jobs, etc. What they get in exchange is cheap labor and a market for THEIR stuff.

It's always a trade-off, isn't it?
The French will go for it because they will have more people to sell their Peugots, ugly clothes and canned SNAILS to.
Heehee.

Chirac is simply surrendering the remainer of France to his Islamanazi paymasters...

France is pretending they aren't being invaded or robbed blind....

Chirac is now in a spot. In order to prevent immediate violence in France, he has to take a public stand in favor of Turkish entry. He has already paid lip service to the notion that the French people have a referendum on the issue. But if there is a referendum, the French will turn down Turkey, flat. And if he tries something cute (which he appears to be preparing to do) such as having the vote to amend the French constitution to enable France to surrender sovereignty to the EU and adopt the EU constitution, THEN doesn't hold the referendum regarding Turkey, he'll be out of office and into prison where he belongs.

67 percent of French voters were against Turkey's entry [into the EU]

I hate to say this, but it looks like 67 percent of the French are absolutely right [at least on this issue].
