Its the yeasts in beer that can trigger migraines. The same things (believe it or not) with some types of breads. There is always one of those 'friendship' breads that goes around (an office, a school). You take some of the batter and then add more ingredients...but what you initially get is actually fermented. Once slice of that bread and I thought I was having a stroke. It was one of my worst migraines ever. Yeast. Watch out for it.

Vitamin C is ascorbic acid. It occurs in nature just as ascorbic acid does.

That should read "It occurs in nature just as salicylic acid does."

I'm talking about chemical drugs such as the ones they're now admitting are dangerous. Just today there were news articles out about Vitamin C. Do a Google news on Vitamin C. but here's one. http://www.bend.com/news/ar_view^3Far_id^3D19944.htm

If you are allergic to shell fish DO NOT take anything (even calcium supplements) that are made from oyster shells, mussel shells, etc. The iodine is still present.

Medical doctors have ridiculed veterinarians...

Everybody knows it is tougher to get into veterinary school than people medical school--especially physicians. Then again, there is something about the FDA and trial attorneys breathing down physicians' necks.

I hardly ever drink beer, it gives me a headache...hmmmm..beer...headache...beer...headache...naw..I don't drink it, and I still have recurrences about every 6 weeks.

My biggest problem is I wake up with them.

I go to bed feeling great...wake up about 4:30-5:00, just knowing it's going to be ONE OF THOSE.

Hot compresses, and Excedrin PM.

I also get screamers when my blood sugar drops, or I'm tense.

See, you have no idea what you are talking about. Vitamin C is a chemical.

I don't see why people are messing with these marginally effective pain killers.

Why doesn't everyone go old school and take the true blue pain killers...Opiates!

Good ol' Vicodin never fails, if that isn't good enough there are many many more. No bad heart risks with them either, just don't take to many and get into rehab or damage your liver.

I've been taking it since it first came out, somewhere around 25 years. I have coronary artery disease...100% blockage in both femoral arteries...have cholesterol of 153, never been higher than 184....always wondered what caused my hardening of the arteries....just renewed my script for 100 more pills Saturday......I just hate the thought that all this misery could have been caused by naproxen.

I am allergic to shellfish and take the synthetic form of PS Ags'. I warn individuals that put their dogs on the supplement about that particular aspect. OTOH, the PSAG's are completely safe if allergens are excluded. PSAG's are in the joints, cartilage, and the bladder intima.

Is Naproxen being labeled this way because it is related to celebrex or viox?

Naproxen tells ya on the label, that it may cause stomach problems. Also mentions that if you have aspirin sensitivity to NOT take the naproxen.

I thought that tylenol messed up one's kidneys also?

What is your opinion on Advil (or other ibuprophens)?

MY opinion, after using it as a one a day multiple vitamin for over 8 or 9 years, it works for me for what ailes (sp?) me.

Now if I can figure out how to get my eyesight back, stop the vomiting and lower extremity paralysis and liver failure fixed, I'll be ok.........

I know it does not have the side effects of other drugs and it can actually cure. It works for me and I know that I cannot take the other drugs. I'm very grateful for the Ester C.

If you wake up with migraines (even occasionally) have you ever considered environmental factors? Air fresheners, fabric softener scents (on pillow cases, sheets) could be a trigger. I know of a fellow migraine sufferer who swears that being in a cold draft has caused a headache for her.

"food triggers" same for me. Did not consult just read the Internet. Was mostly Cola. Went to other soft drinks about the same results as you ie ended 80-85% of the migraines. Still have some I guess something sneaks in. Would have them every day at about 6:30 pm after having a 5:30 Wild Turkey and Coke. Dropped the Coke and mostly gone. Miss the Coke sad to say.

Naprosyn and Anaprox were regularly prescribed in the Othopedic surgeons' office I worked for. They (the patients) were always told of dosage duration by the physicans and then again on the label of the bottle prescribed. I'm sick of having to baby every grown up too stupid to read. Do they work as anti-inflammatories? Most certainly. Are they meant to be taken like Flintstones vitamins given to a three year old? Gee, I think not.
