Airport Staffed During Crash
By JUSTIN D. ANDERSON
MOUNDSVILLE - An undetermined number of personnel were present at the Wheeling-Ohio County Airport late Saturday when a cocaine-laden plane crashed, airport Manager Thomas S. Tominack said Tuesday, but it is unlikely that anyone witnessed the crash. "Where the crash ended up and occurred ... it was nothing easily witnessed," Tominack said. The fuselage of the plane was found in a wooded ravine more than 300 yards northeast of the approach runway.
Whoever was present at the airport the night of the crash - which yielded around 520 pounds of packaged cocaine worth about $24 million on the street - was interviewed by law enforcement, Tominack said.
Whether the personnel gave any useful information is still a matter of speculation. Who these personnel are also remains unclear because the airport will not "make it public who's where when," Tominack said.
The investigation into the crash and manhunt for the alleged pilot, Eugene Nicholas Cobbs of 3765 Motor Ave., Los Angeles, remained status quo with the information released during a Monday press conference given by the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District, Thomas E. Johnston, a representative of his office said Tuesday.
Telephone calls to the National Transportation Safety Board and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Robert Manchas were not immediately returned Tuesday.

I'll link the yesterday's thread as soon as I can find it.
Holy Moly!
Just my opinion.
If I were an investigator for the ATF, I might want to know that info. I don't see a problem with posting it - it's in the public domain.
I meant DEA.
Didn't say it was him. Just wondering. Light skinned, black male, living in los angeles. Reasonable question to ask.
It's not on me so I don't care, really. I'm just saying that associating the website of a guy whose real name is shared with an alias of a crook is risky in this day and age.
I say we e-mail Eric Wiggins and say that his info is posted on Free Republic, sound fair? All in favor say aye.
I understand. But, he may be unaware that his name has been used and the DEA may find some links by contacting him. I'd want to know if it were me.
aye
I imagine wiggins is in south america by now or taking a dirt nap for whoevers cocaine that was. He is a hot commodity on the street and I imagine no good to those that owned the plane to shoot his mouth off to the DEA.
Just a name is not enough to go on. I research this kind of thing alot and without a birth date or approximate age it is almost useless to do so.
What if this guy( cobbs) used this alias ( wiggins) to apply for USC? An alias doesnt have to be a real person. If you oare sophisticated enough to fly 500 lbs of drugs in a plane state to state you are connected enough to get ID's in multiple states.
None of the calls or documents had anything to do with me. The insurance company didn't even want the documents back, in fact, they denied having anything to do with it despite the papers having their name and logo plastered all over it.
thats because they are liable for releasing confidential info to a third party... a no no.
I don't have that problem. Of course, it could be because my real name is Elmo Clapsaddle. :)
I did find out that someone with a Hispanic surname obtained a Sears credit card with my Social Security number.
My parents named me after one of the famous "Glenn"s. It's been a pain having to answer the question, "Where's your band?", every time I meet someone new. I'm usually gracious and have built a stock list of retorts over the years. I do get a lot of email for other "Glenn"s. The best (or worst) one was from the wife of another Glenn who mistyped his email address as mine. She was fairly risque about her plans for him that evening.
