"Is capitalism Christian? No. It neither advances existing human virtues nor corrects ingrained personal vices; it merely reflects them."
It is plain to start that Bandow doesn't get it. Relationships are the foundation of life and society. By creating an enviornment where ones efforts to serve enable one to creat a living is the moral thing to do.
Bandow has probably never had a real job.

# That screams - SAFETY
#I want a car that is safe.
# I want a President who will keep my country safe.
# I have a gun to keep me safe!
Just subconscious wishful thinking on my part, I guess.
I'm a road bicyclist who drives a Nissan Sentra.

When I was a mechanic 35 years ago, engines were good for about 100,000 before overhaul, and I attribute the longer life of newer motors to better oils.

I am not making this up: a few years ago, the local paper reported that Subaru was now the most popular brand of car in Ithaca, finally surpassing Volvo.
Ithaca is the City of Evil.

It's not for nothing that they're known as Lesbarus.

On the way to work today, I saw a white Subaru Outback wagon with a Cornell sticker on it. Not an everyday sight in Jackson, MS.
(I can't throw stones though. I own a Subaru too.)

I bought a Subaru Outback station wagon a couple of years ago because it could carry my kids and a lot of our camping/reenacting/horseback riding gear, go through difficult country with some ground clearance and four-wheel-drive capability, and get much better gas mileage than an SUV that cost the same ($21.5K). Around here (MA/southern NH), if you own a Subaru Outback or a Subaru Legacy, you might as well put a big neon sign on it that says "DIESEL DYKE."

It seems like every large corporation has fallen for the PC side of life. They should feel the pain in their pocketbooks

It's a fact. Any commerical effort that is willing to alienate 97% of comsumers to market to 3% is not commercial; it's political.

Yeah, and what's with Lance Armstrong endorsing them? Don't tell me he's a closet gay... (!!) His name is Lance. He wears a bracelet. He still rides his bike. What do you think?

Around here (MA/southern NH), if you own a Subaru Outback or a Subaru Legacy, you might as well put a big neon sign on it that says "DIESEL DYKE." Good Lord. What do people up there expect a woman to do if she needs to haul stuff? How do they react when they see a pretty blonde lady driving an F-350 V-8 diesel dually pulling a gooseneck stock trailer full of hunt horses? The horses have to get where they have to go. I was just about to upgrade to a big ol' truck this spring. Around here--the Maryland/Virginia area--it's common to see a cute little girl like my sixteen-year-old daughter driving a big bad truck with a ton of hay in the back. And believe me, we are not dykes, no matter what fuel is in the truck.

Girl, cowboy hat, long hair, white t-shirt, overalls, in the cab of a Ford pick-up truck . . . madonne.
