The same Garden Grove CA City Council that saw a young High School Student, named ALOHA RONNIE Guyer, become a City Councilman for a day during the City's Youth Day Activities in Year 1958.

In Year 2004 VAN TRAN became the 1st Vietnamese American to take office as a State Legislator in U.S. History.
