"Oh, please..What a stretch.. F16 is not a public figure."Lol, a point that seems to have escaped the enlightened mom who makes sure her sons listen to the "edited versions" of Kid Rock.
To: cmsgop
I saw Kid Rock in his first public appearance when he escorted a fighter he was friends with named Angel Manfreddy into the ring while singing one of his songs. He sounded terrible, even worse than Ashlee Simpson and I never thought he could ever be successful.I guess I was wrong but his music sounds totally different than it did that night.I just hope that Kid Rock has enough common sense not to do anything that would embarrass the president.I'm surprised they didn't invite Toby Keith or one of the other country singers instead of Kid Rock. There will always be people who disagree over these things because there's no way to please everybody all of the time.

Angel Manfreddy always was one for the dramatic obnoxious entrances.

Hmm...Bill Clinton screws around with a young intern, lies under oath, disrespects our troops, and rapes women.
Kid Rock USES THE F-WORD!!! Call the Morals Police, because using the F-word is so much worse than rape!
If Kid Rock respects our country and our troops, then I can respect him no matter what kind of language he uses.

Have any concept of integrity and honor?
The F-Word should be the ONLY extent of Kid Rock's offensive "contribution" to society -- but it's not.
Why don't you look up some of his lyrics?
Or maybe you're fine with lyrics praising the acts of sodomy and BJs, treating women like yesterday's piece of garbage?
It's ok -- as long as it's not YOUR sister, or YOUR daughter, or YOUR niece?
Go ahead and sell your soul, lower your standrads, and honor a piece of fecal matter -- just as long as Kid Rock wraps an American Flag around himself like a bath towel and "performs" for the troops, he's a "hero."
Just pathetic.
To: F16Fighter
I was hoping to have a thoughtful, reasonable discussion of whether or not Kid Rock's patriotism makes up for his use of distasteful lyrics. Instead, I get a vicious, hate-filled flame from a misguided person who thinks he has a monopoly on morality.
Do you think everyone who disagrees with you has no integrity and honor? Do you think everyone who doesn't hate Kid Rock has sold their soul? If you do, tell that to everyone else on this thread who's defended Kid Rock.
I don't call myself a fan of Kid Rock, and I don't like his lyrics. However, from reading interviews and statements that he has made, it is clear that he genuinely supports this country and the troops that defend it. As for the flag-bath towel incident, he apologized for that, as another poster stated earlier in this thread.
I have protested appearances by Bill Clinton, whose ACTIONS against women are far worse than Kid Rock's WORDS. I have supported our efforts to overthrow the Taliban, who have done far worse things to women than anything Kid Rock ever sang. I have faced off with leftist protestors who burn American flags and celebrate when our troops die. Those people are the ones with "no concept of integrity and honor." Those are the ones who have "sold their souls."
Have you ever felt any anger towards them?
I have explained my position to you instead of simply yelling at you because I don't want to be part of a flame war. I hope that after reading this, your desire will be to have a rational debate on the issue and not to make more personal attacks.

She's a Belgian Shepherd Groenendael. And smart just barely touches how intelligent she is. It's scary sometimes to watch her sit and process words. You can actually see her processing and thinking about what was just said. Aussies are awesome! I like Border Collies too.

Bill Clinton's despicable ACTIONS were both preceded by ("Kiss it.") and followed by ("Better put some ice on that.") WORDS.

"Anybody that knows anything about Kid Rock knows that his music is disgusting and vile, and Republicans, and most certainly the Christian Republicans that got Bush re-elected, should be appalled by this,"
First of all, the "Christian Republicans" did not get Pres. Bush elected all on their own. I think he may have had "help" from other religions and people who have no religion (gasp)! What ever happened to tolerance, compassion, and forgiveness. Something I believe the "right-wing Christian squad" has forgotten.
Because (some/not all) the Christian Right-Wingers voted for Pres. Bush, they now think they are able to pull the strings, set the standards, and have the morality issue tied down. They are starting to sound like the "Taliban of the Right".
I for one, (don't really listen to Kid Rock or go to his concerts), but I do respect the fact that he is one of the few who supports our troops and the USO. In my book, that is enough for me to place my support for his right to hold a concert at the Inauguration. Whether or not he uses "foul" language is not of my concern. I'm sure he wouldn't judge me, and I won't stand in line to judge him.
Go Kid Rock!

Bush, they now think they are able to pull the strings, set the standards, and have the morality issue tied down.I tried to point out long ago that, first of all, it's not true, and, secondly, according to most exit polls, it was the Hispanic vote, along with the black vote, that greatly increased this year.
Now, if the Religious Right is (falsely) saying that they were the difference and think they are entitled to all sort of demands, since it's been proven that it was Hispanics, blacks (and Catholics, I think), is the Religious Right ready to "implement" the "demands of Hispanics and blacks? I mean, what's good for the goose.....all that. I'm guessing NO.

There really is a very simple solution to this all. Don't buy his CD's and get on with your life.

my favorite WND article was the David Limbaugh piece about
OH MY GOD SOME FILM FESTIVAL REFUSED TO SHOW A MOVIE ABOUT A PATRIOTIC VETERAN!!So I look up the festival, which he obviously didn't bother to do and all the movies were about how the CIA topples gov'ts, the US military is destorying the world etc.
I wrote him and told him his article was lame and he wrote back all bitchy saying A TRUSTED FRIEND SENT ME THE INFO!!!. Didn't say if it was written on a IBM Selectric or not.

I have no problem with this Kid Rock guy spicing up the "young adults" party. This gala is being thrown by Jenna and Barbra, the Bush twins, and they have a right to party the way they want. Within limits of course and Kid Rock is within these limits.
The Bush twins did their part to help their gather get re-elected so have earned the right to have fun at their own party.

I like Kid Rock. He might not suit everyone's tastes, but gee, some Republicans' musical tastes are eclectic. I know mine are! I like just about everything, except opera.
Especially liked the Christmas special he did with Hank Jr. a year ago. Hank had a turkey he killed, and he and Kid deep fried it with much fanfare. I'm sure it was an "in your face" to PETA lunie Pamela Anderson. It was just about the most un-PC I've seen lately!

I'm starting to wonder what kind of life the "right-wing Christians" have -- since they dedicate so much free time to find fault in others.
When do they have the time to devote, judge, or be concerned about what is happening in their own lives?
