MSNBC is now reporting that up to 6 other senators (1 possible republican) will give statements of support for contesting the election. There were no names given. Barbara Boxer is confirmed to be the only senator on record to say she is now going to contest the election along with Conyers and a few others from congress.
The report went on to say that the debate (if all 6 come on board) will only be about 30 minutes, due to the 5 minute rule per senator. The report also said that Bush's victory his not in jepordy.
I still think the media may eat crow on this but anyone have any thoughts?
LOL Let them contest it. The world will just roll its eyes and work to vote them out next election.
And, what about the vote in the State of Washigton, where the dims stole big time.
Sorry, I couldn't hear it in your voice, LOL!
agreed
Thanks for the ping!
BOXER CAN'T READ! KERRY SAID NO FRAUD IN THE OHIO ELECTION
Where is it in the constitution that a second election is to be held if someone whines?
No where, that's what I thought.
If some sort of manipulation or fraud can be proven, that is one thing. But mere whining isn't a good enough reason to spend millions of dollars for a new election.
I'm not sure of the point of your question. Do you mean DU doesn't think they stole it? I don't know whether WA gov race came up on DU at all -- I get all my DU exposure lately from PJ-Comix's DUmmie FUnnies. In those, DU is always ranting about the eeeevil Republicans stealing elections, and if Kerry doesn't do something about it, all is lost!
McCain is a bit of a nutball, and I often disagree with him, but I think he is a basically honest man.
I don't get why people here are expressing anger over this. I'm laughing my a** off.......these people are such a joke.
It is about overthrowing the gov't of the United States- also known as sedition.
No, you're just only one of the few people ready to admit it.
Nope. I understand your disgust, but you play with the hand your dealt. Chafee is needed on key votes and, in the absence of any other Republican in Rhode Island worth their salt, then he's what we have. Cutting ties to him, as was done with Jeffords, would be stupid - as stupid and as politically naive as it was with Jeffords.
I don't believe this RINO thing. Makes no sense. If someone were truly a RINO, then they might as well be a Democrat and yet their not. There has to be something which keeps them tied to the party - possibility of power, Senate chairmanship or more nobly, some Republican ideal. Our goal is to capitalize on that as long as we have to deal with them - i.e. Specter and Chafee. It's a game of give and take.
Look, Chafee, is going to be a problem for Bush whether he's in the GOP or not - so, it's to our advantage to keep him here, because, minimally, it's the only way we get to leverage for something in return. If we say "see ya," then what do we get - nothing. He is what he is - we just have to deal with it.
Re: McCain...what you said. :)
I agree with you - this is a NON-ISSUE, people - stop getting your proverbial panties in a knot on this - WHO CARES? COME ON.
That is true.
I wanted to add that to my list, but didn't know quite how to say it.
I'm d*** series. This is hugh!
It seems the Dem Senator Mark Dayton from Minnesota agrees with you. He just trashed Boxer.
OKay. Either you can't spell, or you're being sarcastic. Which is it, Hugh?
