Olympia Snow will be the Republican, if there is one.

Counting the votes, now....I think I heard that only Boxer is voting for her proposal.

Seems like there's lots of talk about the presidential election and a deafening silence on the far greater travesty in Washington state. F---ING RATS!!!

There is no joy in DU-ville, or if there is "joy,' it has to be carefully qualified! There was a HUGE expectation that most or all of the Black Congressional Caucus members would stand and protest and that maybe six or more Senators would stand and protest in the other chamber.

But, only ONE Representative and ONE Senator?!
Heard on DU...

"Our democratic leaders except for one, are a bunch of cowards. I can't stand it anymore. listen to them 'in the senate' They didn't hear of any of the problems? Come on they don't want to hear about the problems. This just makes me mad. Why is it such an outreach belief that elections can be stolen."

Then some damage control...

"For the nth time. Reid, Clinton, Obama and Dodd will stand in support of Boxer DURING THE DEBATE and read their statements of support DURING THE DEBATE. There may be more than these."

Ohhhhh, during the DEBATE!

That's a MUCH safer path for those Dems who don't want to look TOO ridiculous in the annals of history! :)

Yep, Babs was the only one to stand. She knew she was safe since she just got re-elected

The Senate vote was 1 for, 74 against. FLUUUUSSSHHHHHHH...

Found on DU:

ONLY TWO? ONLY TWO? THAT'S NO VICTORY. THAT'S DEJA VU.
All I wanted to see were the numbers.
ALL the Dems, not just TWO.They let us down.It didn't happen. So many words. So few votes. The Reality finally hit home today.

I disagree... the issue is that we DID have one...

Actually two: Levin joined in

Levin (MI) seems to have unjoined in

Actualy Levin joined out, it was 1-74 in the Senate

Its 2 more than in 2000

Sorry... Back to One... Levin unvoted... he misvoted AYE originally

It's 2 more than in 2000 At this rate we should have them in 100 years.

I LIKE that last one!... :)

OKay. Either you can't spell, or you're being sarcastic. Which is it, Hugh?

It's an old FR joke. Earlier misspellings repeated for sarcasm.

I haven't heard who the six others are, but I would think those two liberal women from WA State would be among them in that they are so interested in free, fair elections there.
