I suppose the republicans only want votes from people who don't swear or have sex.

So what are your views on Newt Gringrinch then?

From the way you spelled it I thought you were asking about our new Washington State Grinch, Christine Grinchoire.

Anyway, I recognize there are cases where a divorce is warranted, such as physical spousal or child abuse, wanton refusal to provide for a family's needs, continued serious abuse of street drugs, etc. Since you wanted my personal opinion, I do not care for the availability of "walk-away", no-fault marriages due to greener pastures or boredom with the spouse.

No real opinion on Gingrich's place in the Republican party, but his act did seem classless if reported correctly. I am a conservative without a party right now.

We care more about preserving our God-given liberties than we do about preserving a Victorian ideal that never really existed in the first place.... So now, not only do we have the leftists cursing us, we now have self-righteous jerks like Wildmon telling us how rotten and depraved we are.

Amen. These are the same types who all but said Darrell Abbott had it coming a few weeks ago. Growing up, these sanctimonious wet ends were the best tool MTV and other leftist pop culture outlets had to convince kids to stay away from the right. Thankfully, the era of the Wildmon types is diminishing (notice how they're always threatening to leave the party?), while at the same time more and more Xers are seeing the light and coming to our side.

I wasn't sure if you were baiting me originally or what but I do agree on your latest comment. I'm pretty tough on all of them regardless of party. The only thing I am a little softer on is prescription pain killer addiction, as I think that would happen to most of us if we had severe pain for long enough. But it doesn't excuse buying the drugs illegally especially when you can afford a detox clinic (I think we all know who I am talking about),

To those of you who voted for W but do not identify with the "moral values" segment of his 2004 support, I suppose that all the justification for Kids Rock I'm seeing in this thread is only normal and is to be expected. On the other hand, if you feel that you do identify with the "moral values" segment, then lets connect the dots. For example, the Janet Jackson invident was not out of a clear blue sky. The Super Bowl halftime shows were headed in that direction for the last several years. Another example: do we view Playboy centerfolds with approval, but then say it would not be right for our wife or daughter?

Yeah, it is fun to pick on Wildmon. But when all is said done are we rationilizing a particular artform because it is the music that meets our particular taste?

Please source my "zealotry" and "lacking lacking ability to maintain a level of intellectual consistency" and "cursing and persecution against people whom do (sic)".

You seem to be describing your own posts.

I'll assume you're not a Christian, in which case your opinion doesn't really bother me.

Kid Rock has come over and done tours for the troops...so I really don't want to nothing negative about the guy. He may not be a angel...but he stands by folks who risk all for freedom and liberty. And I will bet that the Kid does not make himself into a fool at the Inaugural party...he will be on best behavior.

Well, the Christians I know just don't call other Christians "fascists". Maybe you've been brought up... differently...

Okay, now, there's a kind of funny post. You should do that more often!

But seriously, as a Christian, do you think swearing is something to condone or encourage?

Or, as your posts indicate, are you simply interested in attempting to belittle other people in order to make yourself feel "good".

You're trying to reason with the incoherent rantings of ignorance.

I commend your effort, but you'll not receive any validation of charges that were bogus to begin with.

I wonder if they remember when Elvis was so vulgar that when he first aired on TV they would only show him from above the hips.
Red Foxx put out some of the dirtiest comedy albums you would ever hear if chosen to do so and never was "Sanford and Son" fined by the FCC.
The first Amendment applies to us all and at the same time as respectable adults we would prevent our underage children from exposure as required at our own discretion.
People may not like the lyrics to the songs but their can be a difference between how you feel about lyrics and how you feel about a person who writes or sings them. They must decide if it is Kid Rock personally they hate or they lyrics which get played when and where it is acceptable. The Ball is not one of these places for the lyrics but it is more than acceptable for the person. Let the Kid Rock on inauguration night and I hope he is wearing a flag or an Uncle Sam red white and blue suit like he did for the video "Forever".

Really?

I bet that, that's because you and your pals are too busy throwing stones at others and reveling in your own piety....
