I will be doing something to encourage at least one justice to recuse himself. I also suspect Mary Fairhurst will recuse herself since she is a close friend of Gregoire. Fortunately, Jim johnson will be sworn in as a new justice on the state supreme court. he will be very good on this case.

"Those are just polls though, take them for what they're worth.

According to democrats they are worth more than actual votes....exit polls over actual votes, so with their love of polls they should pay heed.

Yeah, there's no question that he'll win the 2nd time around.

I agree, which is precisely why Chrissy and the Forty Thieves will never consent to a revote. Washington Republicans need to start getting even noisier outside King County, because the Seattle Times and the PI will see that the story is buried or twisted beyond all recognition if they can.

Why are they avoiding allegations of fraud when they are staring us in the face?

From the KOMO-TV website:

Democrats on Thursday said they believe a revote would violate the state constitution, which requires that the governor be elected at the same time as legislators.

The Democrats just stepped in it. If there is a revote for governor, there could also be a revote in all legislative contests. If public opinion continues to boil over about this, a revote would not only produce Gov. Rossi but a Republican legislature too.

I didn't get to hear the press conference.

Given the suit, will all ballots be impounded?
I don't trust those vote-trollers in Kiev County.

Is public opinion REALLY that sympathetic to Rossi?

Democrats on Thursday said they believe a revote would violate the state constitution, which requires that the governor be elected at the same time as legislators.

That could not possibly have been the intent of the framers of the constitution. The Democrats are grasping at straws.

So if the suit is won by Rossi, and the election is declared null and void, who pays for the re-count of record?

Stick it to the dems - make 'em pay. I doubt they'll leave a tip, too. :)

They should also ask that the state take control of the King County Elections off....as they will try to throw the election again...

Do you mean state or federal when you say Supreme Court?

If you mean the federal Supreme Court, I think supporting the locals who lawyer up for the case is the best bet. It needs top drawer representation, and public support will help them hang in there.

To truly pressure the U.S. Supreme Court is not very likely, in my opinion. Sound legal arguments based on using those justices own reasoning and rulings in past cases, plus media attention on those very points, is the most likely path of influence there.

If you mean the state Supreme Court, well, not being in that state, I will leave that to the residents.

I hope that she does. Good to know that info.
