Enough is enough, Mexico
Houston Comical ^ | 1/09/2005 | U.S. REP. J.D. HAYWORTH

Posted on 01/09/2005 5:07:36 AM PST by The_Victor

Mexico's Foreign Ministry has produced and distributed a Guide for the Mexican Migrant, which is essentially a "how to" manual for illegal entry into the United States.

Unfortunately, it goes even further by providing recommendations for illegal aliens in evading detection of federal authorities once in the United States. ("Avoid attracting attention," etc.) Not once does the guide mention how a Mexican migrant can come to the U.S. legally!

While many Americans were shocked to find out that the Mexican government is a witting accomplice in breaking our laws, the assault on our sovereignty by Mexico has been going on for years.

Indeed, the problem begins with Mexican President Vicente Fox, who openly encourages more Mexicans to head north, not only breaking our immigration laws but also trampling the spirit of citizenship and assimilation those laws were designed to foster.

President Fox sugarcoats his countrymen's illegal invasion of the United States by deliberately mislabeling it a "migration" and wants us to reward lawbreakers with amnesty and dual citizenship.

He even refuses to call undocumented Mexicans "illegals," telling talk-show host Sean Hannity in March 2002: "They are not illegals. They are not illegals. They are people that come there to work, to look for a better opportunity."

And the United States is supposed to be the arrogant one in the relationship?

But that's not all. The Mexican government has a department to promote the well-being of Mexican illegals, it routinely sues to protect the rights of illegals in U.S. courts and has so many of its citizens in the United States that it is making arrangements for them to vote in the coming Mexican elections from here.

Mexico acts as an accomplice in illegal immigration because its economy is hooked on the $14.5 billion in annual remittances from Mexicans working in the United States.

That's more than Mexico earns from tourism or foreign investment and, perhaps, economically more important than its huge state-owned oil industry. Because Mexico won't take the steps necessary to open up its statist economy, it looks to the United States to soak up excess labor. And we have.

The 1986 amnesty conferred green cards on 2.8 million illegal aliens — about 2.5 million of them Mexican. Every year about 200,000 Mexicans are allowed into America legally, three times more than we take from any other country. It is now estimated that there are at least 5 million Mexicans living here illegally.

America has been a tolerant and generous neighbor in this regard. But enough is enough.

The Mexican government has expressed support for an accountable guest-worker program along the lines of that proposed by President Bush. However, such a program is simply not possible as long as the illegal invasion of America across our southern border continues with the active support of the Mexican government.

If Mexico wants to work constructively for immigration reform in general and a guest-worker system in particular, it needs to start becoming a partner in securing our border instead of an accomplice in overrunning it.

Ending the distribution of the guide would be a good place to start.

Unless the PEOPLE start treating businesses and people that hire illegals as the criminals they are, nothing will be done. Why wait for Bush to pass some law. The laws are already there. it is people like you and me that are outraged by this criminal activity that need to have the situation become aa big a social stigma as hiring a Islamofascist terrorist.

Aliens rally against bills to crack down on illegals

By Robert Redding Jr. THE WASHINGTON TIMES

ANNAPOLIS — About 100 immigrants and illegal aliens arrived at the State House yesterday to oppose six bills designed to crack down on illegal immigrants, including one that will allow police officers to take them off the street without cause.

"I am totally illegal," said Zayd Torres, a Venezuelan living in Montgomery County.

Mr. Torres, 25, said he came to Annapolis after talking with officials at CASA of Maryland, an immigrant advocacy group, while looking for work.

"And I came because I thought that l personally was affected by these proposals," said Mr. Torres, who ate pizza provided by the group but remained outside the State House to avoid a possible identification check by police.

Mr. Torres said he also made phone calls for the advocacy group to garner community support for the protest and was among those who arrived in a caravan of cars and four vans provided by the group.

How many are aware of the stealth amnesties that millions of Central Americans have gotten? I'll bet the total is a large as the 1986 Reagan amnetsy.......which some are successfully suing to still get in on. Amazing!

When I first moved to NoVA, I was appalled at the number of Salvadorans in the Arlington area. Most were "politically oppressed"!

What we need to do is protect the border by shooting people who cross it illegally.

Like I said, *half* the problem is caused by employers. I live in Arizona and see the damage done by illegal aliens and their employers.

They're bankrupting border counties.

I also have homes in AZ, and in NM, but prefer to spend my time, mostly, "in the east" (WV and NC).

When I am out in NM, the number of trucks and vans on the Hwy 54 through my area (Carrizozo), loaded with "hispanic' looking folk, headed north, is astounding. Yet, they all seem to find their way to work! I am near Prescott, in AZ, and the house is in a gated community, in a tourist area... and the area is loaded with "hispanic"s..

The problem is that most of those travelers are ILLEGALS. invading us..!

The all got in under temporary asylum due to war in the 1980s. Of course they got scumbag immigration lawyers and never left. They multiplied so know we have their hordes of American born offspring. My guess that most Salvadorans that got in are left of center.

*sigh*

Unfortunatly, it's not just the business owners. It's a big section of the American population(bleeding hearts) that are willing to overlook it because "they're coming here to make a better life for themselves"...living in a liberal stronghold, i hear it all day long at work. People appalled by Arizona's recent legislation, with no concern what-so-ever for the fact that these people are breaking the law...don't even try to point-out to them that the first word in the phrase they're throwing around is "illegal". They seem to think it's okay for people to break this particular law.

"I am totally illegal," said Zayd Torres, a Venezuelan living in Montgomery County.

The Peruvians, Venezuelans, Colombians, Brazilians have learned from the Mexicans, how easy it is to get here and never get the boot. Here in S Florida tons of Colombians come here on legitimate visas and never leave.....  they hire the scummy immigration lawyers to fend off the INS. Have their anchor babies, it's total chaos.

More than half. And I used to blame it all on the illegals. They are rotten lawbreakers but without employment most would not be here. Yes, I know that many suck off our social welfare programs that their American born children are eligible for.

I could say a lot of bad things about lawyers, but most of us have already heard them... Let us suffice it to say that "lawyers" are at the bottom of my list of those, to keep around, in an emergency, or good times! They are a plague on our society, because they know how to twist it all, for fun and profit!

Illegal immigrants are bankrupting our services, i.e., health-care, housing and welfare, and the government is doing NOTHING. Now there is a new program that helps illegals buy homes through the government. A gentlemen from Wisconsin was on Fox News this week talking about the program.
For those of you Americans who want to buy a home and cannot get the financing, this should make you very angry.

This might work just as well as your plan. Or maybe a combination of the two.

If we take the administration's attitude towards providing citizenship for illegal aliens to is logical conclusion, then we can assume that if enough of us just stopped paying our Federal income tax, they'd repeal the 16th Amendment. (Sarcasm off)

Wasn't there once a law that stated only a certain amount of immigrants could enter this country at any given time?
