Don't Count Rossi Out (WA State)- If bloggers can help it ~ John Fund

A stolen election in Washington state? Not if bloggers can help it.

Monday, January 10, 2005 12:01 a.m.

The new media--talk radio, bloggers and independent watchdog groups--have followed up their success in exposing Dan Rather's use of phony memos by showcasing another scandal: Washington state's bizarre race for governor, which features a vote count so close and compromised it allows Florida to retire the crown for electoral incompetence. If Democrat Christine Gregoire, who leads by 129 votes and is scheduled to take the office Wednesday, eventually has to face a new election, it will have been in large part because of the new media's ability to give the story altitude before it reached the courts.

We have a rally that we hope 25,000 attend Tuesday at the state capital.

Wish I could be there. That is what you need really. It worked over seas, why not here?

The real problem is that King (Ukraine) County cannot find voters for the votes. Sound strange? There were about 3500 more ballots cast than there were voters registered. I think it was those pesky provisional ballots that got mixed in with the absentee votes without the proper certification. Since the provisional ballots were identical in appearance to the absentee ballots, someone could dump a few thousand of those into the mix and with a few forged signatures, up the vote count for any candidate they wanted. I hope the judges who take the lawsuits are smart enough to see the significance of the 3500 more ballots.

I like this line:

In Washington state, the errors by election officials have been compared to the antics of Inspector Clouseau, only clumsier.

But Clouseau, of course, had an excuse for being a bumbling incompetent - he was French.

The website www.revotewa.com is not running a commercial on the statewide TV channels. It starts with a loud alarm sound and ends with a call to sign the petition for a re-vote. This is open to all registered voters in the State of Washington.

I talked to my State Representive who told me that with the Democrats controlled the State House as well as the Senate, he was not expecting the Democrats to push for any re-vote. I am not sure if the petition will have any effect. I learned that they had about 180,000 signatures on the 7th of January. The Re-vote Rally on January 11th at 10:30 AM at the State Capital (Olympia, Washington) could have the effect we want if enough people show up.

The Dem's cry, kick, bit and scream about voting irregularities, except when they are suspected of having their hand in the cookie jar!

They have been able to manipulate and lie for so many years about the elections and they being the PARTY OF THE WORKING AMERICAN FAMILY! they feel they are above the law!

Owned and operated by the SOROS family (NOW) their ties to the far left have exposed them for what they really are, Marxist Socialist without a doubt.

Their new claim to fame is Sodomy, Godlessness, Anti-American Hate Crime legislation, Undermine the Constitution, Anti-War effort, tying the hands of interrogators, while our sons and daughters get butchered, The latest is Waxman's effort to get medical supplies to the Terrorists in Iraq through Jordan!!
Real homegrown American PATRIOTS !! They stink of treason!!!

If it were Friday I could make it, but I'm stuck at work the entire day. Wish I was closer to the area to make an appearance during a lunch break.

Wishing you the best of luck and hope others able to take the day off or near the area will show up!

"Not sure Rossi is getting the press coverage necessary to convince the right folks to call for a new election."

I wondered the same thing, but it occured to me as I read this article that national coverage is probably not as important as local for this matter. The article seemed to indicate that the issue was getting sufficient local coverage.

The outright fraud makes me think more and more that this is going to a re-vote.

I caught that too. It struck me as a really silly thing to say. I guess they are holding hands and chanting it over on DU.

In this deal, it looks as if any number of 'minkeys' voted.

"How does this affect the outcome? Does it mean that the individuals who put down the same address are ineligible to vote (that will nullify their vote)?"

It can't nullify their vote becasue you don't know how they voted, only that they are lsited as having voted.

but it's unlikely that they are even real people. More likely someone registered a bunch of phantoms, and then cast ballots for them.

"In King County, some 1200 more ballots were counted than there were voters recorded as voting. Another very suspicious finding..."

Now that's what I call an understatment.

Will the "counter rally" be populated by rent a mob thugs paid to disrupt the GOP rally? Be safe.

Beyond the issue of the rally, the swearing in ceremony needs to be blockaded in the same manner as the successful effort in Tennessee to stop the legislature from passing a state income tax. Circle the building with caravans of 18 wheelers and anything else that can move. Prevent the ceremony from taking place. Wear orange.
