LOL, thanks for that link. In the comments section 3 out of 11 responses to the blogger sounded rational and reasoned. The other 8 responses were from our loveable, flaming idiot, FOS DUmmie -types, just like we've all grown to expect. They didn't let us down, LOLOL!

Their party is so hosed.

Holy Moly! I certainly hope the super of the King Co. election board never finds out who send that that very informative e-mail; also that the sender owns a bomb sniffing canine and wears a substantial bullet proof vest!

The FBI ought to be. Isn't voter fraud, even on a state or local level, a felony?

The fact that this was a presidential election makes it federal business.

Maybe they will tell you the truth, maybe they won't. Word finally got around to us regular workers that the only military ballots sent out were the overseas ones on October 8 or 9 (which was late already) . . .

Sounds like an Fast Eddie Rendell ploy.

As a Washingtonian who has followed this very closely, I have to say that unsourced emails and memos don't buy us much.

Proof is what is needed. People hemming and hawing, dancing around the "fraud" word like the word "foursome" at a couples night drunken poker game.

Every time "incompetence" is used in place of "fraud," which is what we know the Washington State Republican Party really (and with good reason) thinks, it lessons their credibility and looks wishy-washy.

I'm not suggesting outright libelling anyone, but start tossing the word around in ways like, "To rule out voter fraud," or "Presents the appearance of trickery being afoot."

Kudos to Rossi supporters for not giving up on this...For keeping the heat on. Most people are smart enough not to require spoon-feeding. Credibility goes up when you say what you think and don't hide behind words like "Inconsistencies."

Stick to the facts: Military voters disenfranchised, no physical security on recently-added ballots, 1800 more votes than registered voters in King County, and focus less on the inauguration of Chrissy-poo and more on the election challenge.

Either way, Republicans win. Discrediting Gregoire regardless of "victory," and exposing the King Countly Elections Board as corrupt buys the Republicans far more in the long run than a contentious governership in a state where the Supreme Court and Legislature are all Democrat-controlled. :)

I want to believe this, but anonymous emails are an unacceptable source for me. This needs better corroboration.

In the short run, yes they will. Rossi, short of a months-long challenge in court, based on specific legal graveman, has no forum in which to fight this. He could do this, the grounds are abundantly there, but the GOP will not sufficiently back him.

An aroused citizenry should not let her be sworn in. We need an Ukrainian solution here. Blockade the site of the swearing in ceremony. Shut down the legislature. Do like the successful tax protesters in Tennessee - circle the legislature with trucks, cars and anything that moved. Put thousands of protesters around the government buildings, etc. Don't Gregoirevych be sworn in.

I think someone needs to do the math and find out where the extra mystery 10K ballots really came from, because we sure don't know and we work here.

The mail drops down to just a trickle by the Monday after the election. Even if you take all of the ballots we got in the mail on last Saturday and this past Monday (hardly any, including military ballots) and add them to provisional ballots we got from out of the county on Saturday and Monday, it just doesn't add up.

This, to me, is the biggest problem. Where did the 10K votes come from that arrived the last 2-3 days prior to the deadline?

I'd also be interested if they were postmarked by the post office or if they were run through a postage meter? If through a meter, that is no evidence of being mailed prior to the deadline.

Probably, at least in the short term.

Whether they get away with it in the long term depends on the people.

Gov.-elect Gregoire's first appointment was the head of the Washington State National Guard. She is fully prepared to counter the people.

I guess Jesse Jackson was on to something. He just had the wrong time zone.

Is Barbara Boxer in tears, yet?
