Revote Rally, Olympia WA (Pictures)

Posted on 01/11/2005 4:14:12 PM PST by Lexinom

Early arrivals. Est. time 10:00 a.m., 11 January 2005.

One Democrat, State Senator Tim Sheldon, had the moxy to stand up for principle and against politics. Thank you Tim, and God bless you.

The happy thing is, not even the dead were disenfrachised in this last election.
FreeRepublic played a major role in facilitating the large turnout. Note FR logos on Cory's signs.

Tigger is a Republican!!! Who is this tiger? A FReeper? Would the tiger please step forward? :-)
FReeper Vicki's husband Mike at left.

This is not a partisan matter. It is one of right and wrong, and of following Washington State election law.

Freeper Vicki, standing proud for what is right.

The rally was not altogether peaceful. Notice the gash marks along the spray-painted word "Revote" in this revote supporter's truck. It is not clear whether the dents were also the result of vandalism. What is clear: This type of activity, which plagued the Presidential campaign, always seems to come from the same ideology.

Great.

I was there about 10:30 and they had a awesome turnout with 3 or 4 media outlets covering.

I estimate maybe 500?

"Now liberal WASH state has three liberal women in all top three positions: governor and both Senate seats."

OMG! I hadn't thought about that. Can you just imagine what it will be like when they are PMSin? Or Menopausal on Gregoire's part, maybe Mamma/Osama Murray also.

Bundles of pctures to me? GREAT can hardly wait to look at my email! Thanks everyone. I called Senator Mike Carrells office to talk with a friend of mine who works there, he said the crowd was huge and that you could be heard all through the building. LOLOL BTW, Vicki, are you putting the video on tape? If so, I'd like one.

"But Reed certified the vote deeming it "accurate and true." He should be thrown out of office."

I heard a women interviewed on the news say in response to the revote rally, "Reed certified the election and HE IS A REPUBLICAN now get over it"

Well, we aren't going to get over it are we? And Reed will be wishing he had not certified the election.

Thanks for the great pictures! I wish I could have been there but alas had to work, couldn't close the school so I could go protest the stolen election. I've written both my Reps, Senator and Sec. of State. Received a positive response from both Reps. of course I'm on the Republican side of the state so I expected that, but still nice that they took the time to write back.

Thanks to all the good words from those from other areas. I'm sorry too to Conservatives from Florida who had to put up with all the stupid jokes after the 2000 election. I'm sure the "Stupid Washington voter" jokes are coming.

Have faith, I feel we have a good chance we'll get our re-vote.

To certify an election that no one can possibly know who won is misfeasance and legal grounds for the recall of all State Senators and Legislators who supported the fraudulent certification of Christine as Governor.

I've always thought the only stupid voters in Flori-duh (grin) were the Democratic ones.

I remember when they were going over the ballots here in Escambia county (Pensacola, Florida) in 2000. The Rat lawyers were actually high-fiving each other when a military vote was tossed out due to the postmark date. Yeah, they support our military alright....

We had a demonstration outside our courthouse here which was pretty impromptu, but very well turned out. My mother who doesn't talk politics, won't even tell you who she votes for, went to it along with my aunt. (I couldn't because it was rainy and my child was 2 at the time)

I think we've gotten to the point (finally!) that we Republicans (and conservative Dems, like minded Independents) have had enough and we're not going to take it anymore. 'Bout time!

Hang in there, Washington. You won't hear stupid Wash voter jokes from me. I consider you all patriots, IMHO.

For those who didn't get to go, #1 on that list is before the event really started. The crowd was about 10 times what you see there. Also, note the street with the white van with the trailer to the right. It was across that street where the protesters flailed, none of which have arrived yet in that photo.
Vicki estimated 3000 of us, 150 of them, I think that's pretty close.
Thanks for posting those Lexicom. I took a few but don't know how to post 'em. James got a picture of a group of nuns with Rossi signs. Can't wait to see the video.

To post the pictures, you need to upload them to a personal website using FTP. Chances are you have a personal website through your Internet provider. FTP is just something you run from the command line. FReepmail me if you'd like help...

The strange thing is, we've not had voters stepping forward and whining about confusing ballots or pleading stupidity. It's the officials who have assumed that role. One word can characterize their reactions: "Oops!"

Already, the King County election official has usurped the used car dealer as the colloquial emblem of sleaze and dishonesty.
