McAuliffe Rides Again? - (superb!)
JEWISH WORLD REVIEW.COM ^ | JANUARY 11, 2005 | MARTHA ZOLLER

Posted on 01/11/2005 8:57:16 PM PST by CHARLITE

The unbelievable news came in on late last week. Some leaders in the Democratic Party, and I use the term loosely as are you a leader when you don't control anything, want Terry McAuliffe to stay on. Let's get this straight. This is the man that has raised money but has been at the helm of the Democratic Party under the biggest string of losses in the Party's history.

Therein lies the problem. Americans just don't understand what is good for them. Especially in those fast growing Red States in the South and West, Democrats discuss with other Democrats at cocktail parties in San Francisco and New York how those rednecks just don't know what it good for them and if they just understood liberals only want what's best for them, it would be all right.

So go ahead and put Terry McAuliffe at the top again. He'll raise money, but Democrats will continue to lose. The only hope in this race is Donny Fowler the son of a former DNC Chairman. He has worked in the Red States and he could reorganize this party on the grassroots level. The Party won't take heed, though; they are on a self destruct that may not be able to be stopped. Maybe that is what it will take for a new national party to emerge.

Quote:

"Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca), is the minority leader in the House of Representatives. Under her leadership, the Democrats have lost seats after actually taking a few back in 1998, they are in the worst position since the 1940s as far as the number of seats they hold in the House. She will retain her post also. Last week, when pressed by a reporter about the Democratic Party's message, she said she believed that the message was mainstream but that the American people didn't understand it."

(WHAT???!! Are these people deaf, dumb and blind?)

Another great quote (with typo corrected):

"Democrats discuss with other Democrats at cocktail parties in San Francisco and New York how those rednecks just don't know what i[s] good for them."

She also offers a pretty good suggestion, which the Dems of course will never take: Bring back Maynard Jackson.

I heard on the Britt Hume show tonight that here is a real worry that if dean wins the DNC chair -- and the DNC is composed of dean-compatible types -- that many southern democrats (or what's left of 'em) will bolt the party.

maybe McAuliffe is the deseration-desperation candidate.

The funny thing is that the DEMO party is in a catch 22. They can't elect anyone like Howard Dean because the Democrats from the South have already said they will bolt the party if he is elected. They can't elect anyone who is pro life because the KOOKS will have a panic attack. So who is left but Terry?

The backbone of the democrat party has been the labor unions and for 40 years the democrats sold the blue collar workers of the country a bill of socialist promises that have crippled the manufacturing industry in this country which has turned our once great cities into slums.

Unless they change theiur ways, It will be a long time before the democrats will be in power again

If the southern democrats didn't bolt the party with McAwful in charge, why would they bolt with Dean in charge.

They seem quite in sync with the party message as it is.

This is a regular circus. Lot 'o fun. Lots 'o speculation.

It'll end, of course, once the rapist and The Hildabeaste decide who they want to lead the DNC.

I have wondered for many years why so many Union people vote Demo. The Demo party has succeeded in destroying most of those union jobs and yet..... the unions continue to send money and people to help elect their own economic executioners.

These folks never cease to amaze me. You couldn't ask for perfectly scripted hilarity. McAwful is a buffoon and Pelosi ... ha, stretch some more skin, Nance.

Jimmy Carter also believes if Americans weren't so dumb he'd have been the greatest president ever.

Does she recommend a good medium? Jackson died in June 2003.

If Terry McAuliffe didn't already exist, we (Republicans) would have to invent him.
