"cations, anions, which is which?"

Cations are positive that they can give up and electron.

Anions have an negative attitude and will take anything they can get.

A battery cathode (negative side is missing something in life) and will attract cations to be fulfilled.

The Anode/positive side of a battery is positive they can offer help to the anion welfare seeking deadbeats?

You should have expected this. Might as well get it over with.

Funny thread, though!
