Well, Trent Lott wasn't being racist when he was praising Strom Thurman, but the press and the dems sure twisted it that way. Turn about is far play.

Boxer and Kerry vote nay....Boxer's moving on up!

It would be more accurate to say Kerry is moving on down! He's now part of the Boxer Wing!

Donna Brazile spoke of the pride she felt when Condi was nominated as SecState. This vote isn't going to go over too well among some of the 'Rat special interest groups.

If Kerry had been elected and he nominated Sheila Jackson-Lee for SecState, any attacks 1/10 as nasty as this committees would have caused the MSM to scream racism.

Please don't hold your breath I would hate to lose you. He pulled this same crappola with Gonzales calling him "Ole Buddy".

Is it just me that finds it amusing that the party of equality is the most virulently racist. If Dr. Rice or Mr. Gonzales had been white, he would have never attempted this crap. Because they were conservative minorities who don't kiss their *ss it was OK to demean and belittle them.

What hypocrites!

Who does Biden think Condi Rice is? Rochester from the old Jack Benny shows? "yez boss! yez boss"

I'm surprised Biden didn't ask her to "sing some a dem old negro spirituals". Or maybe she should dance like they did for the "boss" back when dey was on the plantation?

The use of such a term by Biden says a lot about what he really thinks. Or, he is just plain mean or a complete idiot.

I'm going to take a page from the Democratic playbook and say that Biden is a racist. I'm outraged! Joe Biden basically called Condi Rice George W. Bushes "house ni@@er".

I'm saying what the Democrats would have said if anyone other than a Democrat would have used the same terms. JOE BIDEN IS A RACIST!

How dare Joe Biden use such language towards one of the finest people we have in Washington! How dare he suggest that an African-American woman call the president "boss" like some kind of negro servant.

Again, using the Democratic playbook I say BIDEN IS A RACIST!!!!

Guilty plea opens door on oil-for-food scandal

WASHINGTON -- An Iraqi-American businessman pleaded guilty Tuesday to collecting millions of dollars from the regime of dictator Saddam Hussein to act illegally as its agent in the United States, the first U.S. conviction in the United Nations oil-for-food program scandal.

The payments to Samir Vincent, 64, of Annandale, Va., included both cash and vouchers to sell at least 9 million barrels of Iraqi oil diverted from the oil-for-food program.

As part of his plea, Vincent agreed to cooperate in an ongoing Justice Department investigation into the oil-for-food program, according to Atty. Gen. John Ashcroft, who announced the pleas at a Washington news conference. Vincent faces up to 28 years in prison.

snip

CIA report was key

Vincent's name surfaced as a recipient of oil vouchers in an October 2004 CIA report on the program in which the intelligence agency found evidence that Hussein was using it to bribe key officials.

Since 1996, according to the report, Hussein generated an estimated $1.7 billion in kickbacks and other illegal surcharges, and since 1990, he pulled in about $11 billion, including revenue from illegal oil sales outside the oil-for-food program. Hussein was deposed in April 2003.

snip

Ashcroft said that Vincent worked as an unregistered Iraqi agent in the U.S. from 1992 through January 2003, trying to persuade the U.S. government and UN officials to lift sanctions against Iraq and pushing for an oil-for-food program when it came under international consideration in the mid-1990s.

Under U.S. law, representatives of foreign governments must register with the Justice Department. In 1999, Vincent organized a delegation of Iraqi religious leaders to visit the U.S. and meet with American religious leaders to discuss the effects of sanctions on Iraqis.

Among those who met with the Iraqis were evangelist Billy Graham, New York's then-cardinal, John O'Connor, and former President Jimmy Carter.

In November 2001, Vincent ferried a message from the Iraqi intelligence service to a former U.S. government official regarding the Hussein government's position on re-admitting weapons inspectors and repealing sanctions, according to court papers.

Oil-for-food scandal investigator conflict of interest?

by Judi McLeod, Canadafreepress.com

December 6, 2004

Paul Volcker, the man charged with the task of investigating the UN oil-for-food scandal, has by his association with the Montreal-based Power Corporation, a potential conflict of interest as chief scandal investigator.

Last April, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan authorized Volcker to investigate the oil-for-food program.

snip

Volcker, the former chairman of the Board of Governors of the United States Federal Reserve System, pledged "a thorough inquiry" into allegations of impropriety in the administration and management of the UN Iraq oil-for-food program.

That pledge was apparently made with an undisclosed conflict of interest. Handpicked for the job by Annan, the secretary general can hardly expect the outside world to have any confidence in Volcker as a credible independent investigator.

Volcker’s membership in David Rockefeller’s Trilateral Commission, identified by LizMichael.com as "a super-elite cabal of 300 international powerbrokers, who practically rule the world", but does not publish its membership list on the Internet, is well known.

Lesser known is that Volcker has held a seat on Power Corporation’s international advisory board.

Wealthy Canadian businessman and Power Corporation founder, Paul Desmarais Sr. is a major shareholder and director in TotalFinaElf, the largest oil corporation in France, which has held tens of billions of dollars in contracts with the deposed regime of Saddam Hussein.

France has been identified as one of the chief partners-in-corruption in the scandal. The Times of London calculated that French and Russian companies cashed in on $11-billion worth of business from oil-for-food between 1996 and 2003.

Given his ties to Power Corporation, how can Volcker deliver, as promised conduct "a thorough inquiry" into allegations of impropriety in the administration and management of the oil-for-food program?

Nope. not in the least.

Best thing we can hope for is Howard Dean as DNC chair. We will be looking at the beginning of the end for the Dims. Perhaps some of the real Democrats (a number of whom are actually worthy of respect) can take back the party.

the Dims just don't get that we the people now have the information at OUR fingertips. We can easily see through their crappola. They just don't have the ability to lie anymore w/o getting cought at it. What they really haven't gotten yet is they are loosing our trust (if there is any left) and our Respect. With out those things, they are doomed. The most pathetic part is that it is self inflicted!
