SENATOR SLUGS TRAFFIC AGENT IN B'KLYN: COPS
New York Post ^ | January 21, 2005 | HASANI GITTENS and LARRY CELONA

Brooklyn State Senator Kevin Parker was busted in his home district yesterday for slugging a city traffic agent after crumpling up a ticket and throwing it in his face, police said.

Parker also allegedly pushed the agent out of the way when the man tried to stop him from driving off. Parker, a 37-year-old Democrat who represents Flatbush and was re-elected to a second term in November, was charged with third-degree assault.

He downplayed the incident.

"Nothing happened. This was a mountain out of mole hill," he said. "I was involved in a minor accident. People have traffic accidents."

The incident began shortly before 3 p.m. at New York Avenue and Avenue H in East Flatbush after Parker was involved in a fender bender with a motorist and got out to talk with her.

The agent, apparently unaware of the accident, saw that Parker's car was double-parked.

As he prepared to give Parker a $55 ticket for blocking traffic, he and the senator exchanged words, authorities said.

The agent said that when he walked toward Parker's car, the senator pushed him or brushed up against him.

The agent, who apparently didn't realize Parker was a state legislator, then sat in his car to finish the ticket.

I bet six of those words were, "Do you know who I am?"

This is an illustration of our local Democrats man of action. They are trying to present a tougher image.

OK. You have been in an accident and you are talking with the other motorist. How do you miss the cop giving you a ticket?

.....NY-State-of-Mindlessness ....

Oh Lord, let us count the ways.

How's about a TV reporter pelted by political stud Jennings standing in front of his house---on camera?

Then there was Denny Farrell verbally attacking Fred Dicker for reporting that Den's about to be a 72-yr old unmarried father.

Not to mention Al Sharpton's daily diatribe.

Don't worry, we have state senator John Ford here in Memphis. I think Ford actually pulled a gun on a truck driver that allegedly cut him off. I guess he had it coming. When will we wake up and stop electing people to make laws that have zero respect for them.

The agent, who apparently didn't realize Parker was a state legislator, then sat in his car to finish the ticket.

And why should that make a difference?
These fat cat Democrats and their accomplices in the press seem to think that they are above the laws that us little people are compelled to obey.
