See This Link and you'll see that the CT Broadcasters Association conveniently scheduled a test of the Emergency Alert System on all channels in Connecticut while Bush was being sworn in.
TOPICS: Government; News/Current Events; US: Connecticut
KEYWORDS: bush; connecticut; dodd; emergencysystem; treason
They claim the date was set months ago, but this is downright ridiculous to interrupt all stations with tone and that stupid announcement.

And AMTRAK just had to have a switching problem that shut down the trains in and out of D.C. Union Station.....to and from NY....

Just a little protest from the bitter pro-terrorist Democrats. DU will give them five bouncing smileys in appreciation.

Wish this switching problem was permanent. DC has enough liberal homos already.

They claim the date was set months ago.... And the Inauguration date was set in 1937.

CT Broadcasters Association conveniently scheduled a test of the Emergency Alert System Yes, the link shows they scheduled it, but did they actually run it? The link says the time may change depending on programing. If they did, they should have their licenses pulled. No excuse for that much stupidity on the public airways. You could hardly call such action serving in the public interest.

They ran it, right before Dodd's speech. As soon as Dodd spoke, the test ended. I was able to switch over to Fox 5 NY and see it.

It happens locally (NH) quite often--always during significant presidential events. It happened (twice!) during the president's last press conference. It happened during the past three State of the Union addresses. I have complained to the local authority (NWS in Gray, ME) who also claim they are scheduled at random times and dates, to the FCC and to my local congress persons. Nothing has ever been done about this situation. Clearly some Dem getting his jollies at Mr. Bush's expense.

That's amazing. Our EAS tests are all around 2 am or some such time. I rarely see or hear one.

This was annoying. Started around 11:40 so I kept changing channels. Fortunately at the most critical moments the test was not on.
In any case, can't they do this kind of thing overnight when fewer people are watching anything?
