MIDI - THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES - click on Bob Hope
Thanks for the memories
You really had no peers
You brought late night cheers
The bits were funny and sometimes you brought us all to tears
We thank you for that
Thanks for the memories
Those funny things you said
We laughed off our head
We stayed up late and so, of course, at work next day we're dead
We thank you for that
You were the king of the night time...you're always the one we would choose
We missed you when you retired...no one could fill your shoes
So thanks for the memories
Laughs echoed down the halls
Arnie will recall
For luck before a tournament, his wife would kiss his balls
We thank you for that
Thanks for the memories
With Ed there by your side
Oh, how time would fly
The animals would pee on you when things had gone awry
We thank you for that
Thanks for the memories
The timing of the jokes
Fun you'd always poke
Sometimes from both my nostrils I spewed up a Sprite or Coke
We thank you for that
You were the king of the night time...you're always the one we would choose
We missed you when you retired...no one could fill your shoes
So thanks for the memories
The tomahawk and crotch
That one you had botched
Now that you have departed we'll toast you with some fine Scotch
And so we...thank you for that
Damn Doug! Truthfully are you some sorta lyrical robot? Man no one can crank out a song as fast as you!
Great one!
Thanks, Bommer. I can't explain it. I started writing limericks during Clinton's first year, then began song lyrics in about 1997 or 1998. For some reason, I now seem to think in lyric.
I think that many, many children were conceived during that show. :)
I never found him amusing. Just a lot of bad jokes. Lots of laughs from the audience, but I never laughed with the sound track. Never the less, RIP.
One night he had some quintuplets on. One of them told him that they were conceived during his show. :)
Answer - Lincoln and Ford
Question - Name a great president and a car
