Mods/admins: please pull this thread if it has already been posted. Folks: this is an amazing story. The "certain party" appears to be one or more of the following "usual suspects": USA, Israel, India, or Russia(?).

...no longer confined to the lunatic fringe; it has been taken up by the Saudi Interior Minister. Not exactly mutually exclusive.

Oh no, they're finally on to us. Osama has worked for the CIA for years and President Bush flew then there planes into those twin towers via remote control from the Oval Office.

Years ago (college), while watching the weather report on Today, for the fourth day in a row "isolated severe thunderstorms" were shown hovering (if memory serves) in the Mississippi Valley. When I remarked to my buddy that these storms didn't appear to be all that isolated, as they extended for half the length of the river, he said, "by isolated, he meant 'nowhere near New York City'". Sure enough, when those storm systems started to move toward the NE, the weather guy (before Willard Scott) seemed to be pretty worried about it.
Bin Laden acts on his own behalf, but also gets plenty of contributions from other rich sheiks and wannabees in the Kingdom. They're the ones who are trying to overthrow the royal family, even if they're not aware of it (IOW, they may think the money is going to terrorists operating in Iraq, or in Israel, or Afghanistan, or Europe).
