OMAHA, Neb. - A Web-page designer who auctioned off the use of his forehead for advertising space is letting it go to his head.

Andrew Fischer, 20, of Omaha, who put his forehead for sale on eBay as advertising space, received $37,375 on Friday to advertise the snoring remedy, SnoreStop.

Fischer will display the SnoreStop logo on his forehead for one month.

"I look forward to an enjoyable association with Andrew — a man who clearly has a head for business in every sense of the word," SnoreStop CEO Christian de Rivel said.

"People will always comment on something out of the ordinary," Fischer said in his sales pitch. "People like weird."

But there were limits: He refused from the outset to be the conduit for any message or product deemed tasteless or unacceptable in traditional advertising formats.

Hope this does not become a trend. You know there is some guy out there willing to use his butt to advertise Preparation H.

Well, I think Rush suggested that Paul "the forehead" Begala could make some $$ doing it. Did not know he was Cornhusker though.

I would gladly advertise SnoreStop on my head for a month for $37,375 (although I don't snore at all).

Now doesn't it say something about me when I admit I was a bit tempted myself ...! $37,000 for 1 month's work? :)

It's all about target marketing. What demographic is most likely to look at your forehead?

You can still get $$ for letting them put paint and logos on your car.

I'd like to see his contract- I bet he will work for his money, he'll have to assure that lots of people will see his forhead. He'll probably rack up 15 miles per day cruising shopping malls sticking his mug in people's view, while doing other stuff to get attention.

Just like the old "sandwich men" or the guys who dress up in a giant mattress suit in front of Ralph's Mattress Warehouse ("I am the King of Discount Mattresses!")

It's only the guy who does it first who makes the big bucks. SnoreStop will have their logo seen by many because this guy is a curiosity. As soon as it has been done a few times, forehead space will be worth 100 bucks a month, tops.

Who wants their product advertised by idiots? Maybe an ad like "Don't be a pathetic loser like me, use Match.com" would work...

I'm sure there are some stipulations that require him to "leave his house." LOL

Probably has to go stand at the podium of Clinton speeches facing those that are snoring.

I knew a guy in college who dressed up in a bee outfit to advertise an Auto Dealer's "Honey Of A Deal." He wasn't the least bit humiliated because very few people knew who was under the suit. Of course, that particular guy would not have been ashamed to walk through an airport in his underwear.

I knew it was a one-of event. I would do it for the price, though.

Hmm.. That's an interesting question. For $37,375 I would say whatever demographic they want me to go track down. LOL

As it is though, I'd say 30-something white collar professionals, university students, and frequent flyers are most likely to be inflicted.

Make that 30/40-something on the white-collar professionals.

I'd wager that someone will offer to do an entire body-ad in the nude or very close to it. I was in Switzerland years ago, and saw a couple painted green from head to foot each wearing nothing but a thong rollerblading through the streets of whatever city I was in (forget) advertising The Body Shop I believe it was.

With today's tech, I'm sure the same thing can be done in vivid color.

It presumes, of course, that one would want to look at a smug mug like that. If it were me, I'd probably go out of my way to avoid buying any product that showed up on his forehead.
