"We don't have an imminent threat that we're aware of. But I will say this: We have people here in Oregon that have trained in jihadist camps in bad areas. In the bad neighborhoods of the world," said FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert Jordan.Gimme a break.
"We don't have an imminent threat..."
So we just let 'em stay here in the US, right?
This is supposed to be a war?
On terror?
If they know who they are and they aren't dead already then someone isn't doing their job.

There's a rattlesnake in the house, but, so far, he hasn't tried to bite anyone.
Is this part of the story yesterdy about the local police refusing to help the FBI in investigating the jihadists.

Newsweek ^ | May 6, 2004 | Michael Isikoff Law-enforcement officials detain an Oregon man they say may be linked to Europes 9/11 FBI agents today detained a Portland, Ore., lawyer after receiving evidence from Spanish authorities that the mans fingerprints allegedly were found on bomb-related evidence associated with the March 11 railway attack in Madrid that killed 191 people and wounded 2,000 people, Newsweek has learned. The arrest of the lawyer was described by federal law-enforcement authorities as a major investigative breakthrough that for the first time suggests links between an individual inside the United States and the Madrid bombing the worst act of terrorist violence since...

WASHINGTON FBI agents arrested a Portland, Ore., man Thursday as part of the investigation into the deadly train bombings in Spain, federal officials said.
Brandon Bieri Mayfield, a U.S. citizen, was taken into custody on a material witness warrant, said a senior law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity. The arrest, first reported in Newsweek, is the first known in the United States with connections to the March 11 bombings in Madrid.
Contrary to the ACLU all laws have not been suspended and roundups of all suspicious individuals are not occuring.
When the Commies were a big problem internationally FBI surveillance and infiltration of their organizations was so extensive that the American Party was kept afloat by the dues paid by the infiltrators.
Hopefully, something similiar is happening here and when it is time to act agents will be well aware of what is about to be tried. Getting informants into the groups is the main goal now so that contacts can be tracked. This means leaving most of them at large while no illegal activities are carried out.
Didn't Portland gov't. just announce a couple weeks ago that they were pulling all support for the FBI's Joint Terror Task Force? Seems they were convinced there was no reason to conduct anti-terror ops in the Beaver State...

I wonder what they consider to be an 'imminent threat'? These jihadists have proven to us they intend to remain hidden until they strike. They're way to concerned about 'offending' people. And if that's the case, they've learned nothing form the 19 murderers, who posed as regular Americans, some for quite a while, until they were given the green light to murder. Men told to lie and do whatever necessary, even if it was opposed to their religious beliefs, to look 'regular' and blend in. Let's hope the FBI are doing something behind the scenes.
Isn't diversity wonderful? Let's continue to keep the borders wide open so more of them can come here and kill us. I hate to say it folks, I see big trouble in the future if we don't shut the borders down and Bush will pay a hugh political price for refusing to do so.
Why is it that we have to wait for them to kill someone before anything is done? They should have a fatal accident.
Yikes!!
What is wrong with DHS and the rest of those in charge of our security?
Why?
The first explains why Oregon is hosting Jihadists:

The original AP Report before the Seattle Times played with it a bit:
bump for later...this makes me so mad my fingers don't want to work properly.
"Nearly three years after 9/11, the war on terror is far from over. In fact, a leading terrorism expert argues that despite the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the efforts of the Department of Homeland Security, we're not really any safer at all.
Harvey Kushner, a respected adviser to the FBI, the FAA, the INS, and other government agencies, offers frightening new evidence of a unified Islamic terrorist network that is operating inside the United States and planning new opportunities to strike.
Kushner identifies and assesses the violent plans of these Islamic organizations and individuals who take advantage of our reluctance to engage in ethnic profiling. He supports his claims with never-before-seen documents from top-level government sources, exposing a secret network of Arab intelligence agencies, terrorists, university professors, corrupt imams and other religious leaders, and violent criminals.
Some members of this network are recent immigrants; others have been American citizens for years. Some are laundering money from abroad through seemingly innocuous charities and mosques. Some have even infiltrated our military as Arabic translators and Muslim chaplains..."
Islamic terror based on Quran: ex-CIA official
"A former top official of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency paints a menacing picture of the relationship between Islam and terrorism.
"Islamic terrorism is based on Islam as revealed through the Quran," keynote speaker Bruce Tefft claimed in a panel discussion at the University of Toronto on jihad and global terrorism.
And, he added, "There is no difference between Islam and Islamic fundamentalism, which is a totalitarian construct..."
According to Tefft, the Quran enjoins Muslims to believe that the whole world should be governed by the principles of Islam*, an expansionist religion that has historically grown through conquest..."

Nice. Let's keep 'em around. Maybe offer them some entitlements.
That could have been said on 9-10-2001. Someone wake these guys up!
