PASADENA (TEXAS) OFFICER SHOOTS, KILLS MAN (HISPANIC) WITH GUN
The Houston Chronicle ^ | 29 January 2005 | Paige Hewitt

Posted on 01/29/2005 3:11:10 PM PST by MeneMeneTekelUpharsin

A Pasadena police officer fatally shot a man today after the victim reportedly point a gun at him, police said. Two officers were dispatched to the Hacienda Isbell Apartments, around 12:30 p.m., after residents reported that a man was firing a gun in the apartment courtyard. Officials did not release the identification of the victim, who was pronounced dead at 2:07 p.m. at Memorial Hermann Hospital. The victim is believed to have been in his 20s, according to Pasadena Police spokesman Martin DeLeon.

When the officers arrived at the scene they went to an apartment where nine Hispanic men were drinking, DeLeon said. One of the men inside the apartment allegedly pointed a gun at one of the officers, he said. The officer then fired at least twice, striking the man in the chest, DeLeon said. Witnesses told police the victim is the same man who was seen shooting in the courtyard earlier. The other eight men in the apartment were taken into custody for questioning.

There is no illegal alien crime wave taking place in our state that they're responsible for, other than not being papered. Crime ain't gonna drop drastically by closing the borders.

Wrong. You might want to take a look at some statistics in that regard. One of the worst offenders ever in Texas was an illegal. Rafael Resendez-Ramirez.

Mexican and South American gangs have likely already hooked up with the IslamoNarcoNazis. The hispanic gangs will do anything for money. Anything. These groups already have people all over America. Gangs like the Mexican Mafia are very powerful and if they ever make deals with the moslems inside and outside our prisons we are going to have serious problems.

One major concern today is that the hispanic gangers would shoot MANPADS at commercial airliners. It's likely they have the devices in the US already. It's almost impossible to stop someone with one of thse devices.

After 9/11 we should have shut down our borders with our military. Not doing so was a huge mistake.

Actually, mine was post #8, and was a (wry, as usual in my case) comment on the LSM, specifically here on the headline writer's lack of either imagination or competence in the language. Said mssg had nothing whatever to do w/illegal aliens, either directly or inferentially, or w/Pasadena, or Texas.

FReegards (and, yes, GOOD shot, officer!)

Well, what did you expect the officer to shoot him with?

A PEZ dispenser?

There is some additional crime here in Nashville from the illegals who now outnumber blacks in metro Nashville...gangs and whatnot as well. I'm not sure I would call it a wave but it is problematic.

My issue and I will say it quite plainly:

I am a descendent of the Europeans who settled this nation and stole it or bought it from everyone else and I have no desire to nor feel any misguided and foolhardy alruistic impulse to relinquish that to Mexican campesinos or anyone else from anywhere else in the world....except the aforementioned Miss Universe contestants.

Nor am I aware of any other nation in the world where the predominate culture would wish to be diluted to a plurality at most as a noble gesture. This sort of thing usually results from being conquered and the males slaughtered and the women lamenting and all that.

Now that is my view. Folks can call me what they like. I live in the real world.....a little "huddled masses goes a long ways"....our founding fathers never had that fall on the sword demographically idea. That was been lifted from 19th century lore fostered by recent immigrants at that time who even then had more in common culturally with the host than the current crops.

Worse yet.....why in the Sam Hades are we letting all these Moon Rock Nazis in....they are not just more cultural friction....they are for the most part anathema to our freedom.

rant off

PS: NRT lives amongst the illegals here in Nashville...ask him.

"Redneck" is acceptable --- I see it all the time. You just need to get your dictionary of political correctness. Snowbird for yankees, redneck for southerners, hicks is okay because that means rural folks. I've used the insult racial slur words "gringo" and "anglo" but I didn't get banned for them. You can call French frogs and monkeys and that's okay.

Illegals from Mexico are not only the more innocent and harmless "wetbacks" looking for work --- there are many who are part of the narco-trafficking organized crime rings of Mexico and that kind is very dangerous and violent. There are many coming in who never did farm work in their whole life --- coming from the slums of Mexico City who never saw a bale of hay or would ever plan to help load them into a truck. In fact --- Mexico destroyed it's farms about 15 years ago --- you won't find that many Mexicans under 20 anymore who grew up on farms and will do that kind of work. Even the illegals who do farm work will tell you that --- their 15 year younger brothers and cousins want to come here --- but they don't want to do farm work.

Houston doesn't have a serious crime problem because we have good law enforcement. A man was shooting off a gun in an apartment complex. The man was shot dead by the police.

That's law enforcement. The police didn't stop to complain about immigrants or blame President Bush. Houston police treated a crime as a crime, not an immigration situation.

If the man had killed a police officer and survived, we would have executed him.

If California and certain other cities would follow suite they wouldn't have as much a crime problem either.

Well stated.

That would explain the ridiculous numbers of Ecuadorians who visit my office building every day. There is some consulate office in it. Many of these people seem to have been airlifted directly from the rural areas of Ecuador, it is very hard to comprehend how they made it all the way from Ecuardor to Jersey City without ever once seeing an elevator or a revolving door. They are hillbillies pure and simple, and I can only guess that after their "paperwork" is "regularized" that they are shipped directly to some US farms, presumably to never have to wrestle with a "spinny door" again.

Oh well, back to the old tag line.

Lot of urban Blue Collar Ecuadorians in Ironbound (Newark), Elizabeth, Bloomfield and Paterson. Many are skilled workers who have even moved into the construction trades as the older Italian Americans die off. I'm sure that there are rural Ecuadorians coming, but from what I see in Florida (where I have family) much of the agricultural labor is being taken by Guatemalans who don't speak Spanish or English. You still have a lot of Haitians in the cane fields though.

OK, what do we call the (disappearing) blue collar white folks in the northeast who are neither yuppie douchebags nor ghetto dwellers? A friend of mine suggests we call them Bunkers, after Archibald of Astoria, I suggested "yobs" which is the English term for working class whites.

BTW: My handle on Chowhound.com is "GuidoPolack." Of course, if you meet me, I appear no different than any other upper middle class douche until you talk to me. I just can't shake this Blue State outer appearance folks.

Yes --- that's kind of sad that there is no name for that group. Who can they fit in with --- not snowbirds, not really yankees, not rednecks, hicks, wetbacks, yuppies, canuks, or anything else.

Agreed. Both borders should have been locked down tight about Noon on 9/11. Not doing so was folly and just did not make ANY sense whatsoever.

Ha Ha Ha! My personal project for tonight is painting over an LA gang's graffiti that offends my view. Thank God (not our government) for the 2nd Amendment.

I have been trying to tell black citizens that the jobs their young people usually start out on are being taken by the illegals but most seem to be mentally dominated by their Democrat Party-allied pastors. What else can they do but go to criminal means for substinence when our government looks the other way while allowing this to occur? I'm mystified by seeing how blacks gained equity through the Civil Rights movement but are not stepping up for those rights when illegal aliens are edging them out of employment opportunities.

For a mostly enlightened forum, I'm surprised at the hateful invective levelled at the illegal aliens from Mexico. There is no illegal alien crime wave taking place in our state that they're responsible for, other than not being papered. Crime ain't gonna drop drastically by closing the borders.

Maybe there is no illegal crime wave in your opinion but then again I guess you haven't been reading the papers lately.

To start with they are ILLEGAL just being here and that is a crime wave in itself. They have a country and they should be there doing what they can to make things right with it so they can work there, instead of running here as they always have.

Outside of the legal aspect, there is the money that we spend on these ILLEGAL aliens every year. In CA alone we are going broke and losing hospitals because of it, I am sure Texas and Arizona are also.

GWB is wrong on this subject and he needs to change his thinking IMO, but of course he probably won't. I don't hold this against him, but I do think guys like you should quit crying about some people being against illegal aliens, because, guess what?, they are illegal and a lot of them are career criminals who come here to get away from their own law. We don't need this here, we have enough criminals already and no need to import them, thanks. Get a life and face realities.
