PRESIDENTIAL NEWS OF THE DAY: It's snowing in Washington today. The President and First Lady attended St. John's Church this morning before heading back to the White House to continue monitoring events in Iraq.
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
In great numbers, and under great risk, Iraqis have shown their commitment to democracy. By participating in free elections, the Iraqi people have firmly rejected the anti-democratic ideology of the terrorists. They have refused to be intimidated by thugs and assassins. And they have demonstrated the kind of courage that is always the foundation of self-government.
Some Iraqis were killed while exercising their rights as citizens. We also mourn the American and British military personnel who lost their lives today. Their sacrifices were made in a vital cause of freedom, peace in a troubled region, and a more secure future for us all.
On behalf of the American people, I congratulate the people of Iraq on this great and historic achievement.

Hi there!
Had a fine day, thanks.
Company just left, so now it's time to clean the kitchen.
Fortunately that's not my job this evening :-)
How about you? Do anything fun?
Maybe it's his age compared with Mike's, but I'm not sure he'll really appreciate what he was part of until he's much older.
btw, some of the guys he served with are having a rough time, marriages, emotions, etc. We need to keep praying for our soldiers after they come home too. It's not always easy.
He's a hero alright..........and his mom doesn't let him forget it! :o)
Still no news from Iraq
Yes, Mike is having a lot of problems with his Co....he's lost nine pilots....because of their marriages....Like Mike said, he was too busy to look to the future of Iraq, his daily goal was to stay alive and keep is troopers alive....but he knew he was a part of something big.
NO, I'm being as patient as I can.
May go watch a movie and resign myself to the fact that I probably won't hear from him until tomorrow.
Without his steadfast determination to do what he knows in his heart to be the right thing and the courage of the Iraqi people to go to the Polls and vote.
When history is written, today will be known as the birth of liberty in the Middle East and the beginning of the end for Radical Islam. President Bush is a visionary and I believe that vision comes through Grace
Have fun what is it, thriller, chick flick or what?
Mike said, he was just doing his job like thousands of other GI's....Show and Tell..LOL....more like the antique roadshow by the time Brandon's in school....(Mike's words)
I've read before that Reagan did not attend Church during his Presidency. I'm sure he prayed but I do not believe he attended Church weekly.
Good evening Mike what a historic day
God Bless Our Troops
Nothing too exciting . . . church . . . then while the kids were at Sunday School mr.homemom and I went to Menards to look at doors for our house . . . we've agreed on EVERYTHING house-related till today . . . when he violently disagreed with the type of kitchen door handles and drawer pulls I'd picked out . . . don't know how we're going to solve that! I try the ones I like for six months and if he still doens't like them I'll change them . . .I KNOW he won't notice them once they're up!
Beautifully stated, Mike.
Pure eloquence.
LOL
Yes it was, I want some purple ink to dip my finger in, so I can show my support for the Iraqi's
Say Hi to Mike from me, OK, and let him know we still think about him a lot, and love him for what he did for our little boy.......
Maybe we can get together again sometime?
Oh, I adore household arguments, LOL!
Put in the ones you like and he'll probably never say another word, that's my (unsolicited) advice.
You have FRmail, BTW.
