There aren't really many surprises to me on this list. Most of them have shown in previous career decisions a gay-friendly outlook. The only real disappointment to me is Emmylou Harris.

would rather know for a million reasons what people's agendas and politics are.

The problem with that mentality is that it's incredibly shallow. Not shallow for judging, but shallow in that you're basing your judgements on the tip of the iceberg you can see...ie the front man. The actor, the singer, the guy who's picture you see. The reality is that he's just one of many. When you buy a CD, go to a concert, or see a movie, you support a whole bunch of people, not just the front men and women.

The excessive amount of silicone in Dolly's system has addled her brain and her morals.

Morals?

I disagree strongly. I think it is Biblical and commanded by Him to support those who are most faithful to Him. Where your treasures are, there is where your heart will be.

Those who you may see who seem to be so quick at letting go of some earthly possession, such as a Dolly CD, once they find that it would not please God....I am telling you, it is NOT legalism..it is their love for God that causes them to so quickly remove these things of the world from their life. We are to seriously FEAR big time the consequences that entanglement with this world may have on our lives, our destination. Many WILL fall away, why would you want to see how close you can get to a fire without it burning you! And we need to watch our puffed up pride and arrogance, thinking we are so strong, that we could not possibly fall away...it is going to get much worse..are you ready to stand firm.

Wasn't there a scandal about Dolly Parton and a minor? I read she was asked about it on Larry King and didn't deny it.

Another thing also, He really does and will honor your obedience. Just wait and see!! He wants to know and commands that HE be our FIRST love, above all else, that nothing be so loved in this world, that we would not give it up in a second to show Him our love for Him. Think of Abraham, what He asked him to give up to prove His love.

You're not understanding me. I'm saying it's shallow because you're basing your decision solely on the front man, the person that you can see, when in reality, if anything, it's the entire industry that's corrupt. I'm saying, that in the end as much money goes to the things you hate in a Mel Gibson film, or a Pat Boone record as it does when you go see Michael Moore's film or buy Elton John's CD.

What I'm saying is that you're view is completely superficial, based on the most cursory of examinations. I'm not saying anything about what's pleasing to God. I don't know which would be more or less pleasing to God, a CD by a an outspoken artist in favor of homosexuality, or a CD produced by an outspoken record producer in favor of homosexuality. What I do know is that a whole lot of folks point and scream at the former, but are completely oblivious to the second, which is why I call it shallow.

Well, I would still not say it is shallow. It is a Start. You have to start somewhere, with whatever information you have and then work forward. Take things apart brick by brick, and even though it may seem to huge it STILL must be dismantled/defunded little by little and eventually if you do not grow weary and tired you will get to the big kahuna mother weed and it will come down.

Has-beens and never-weres. I'm surprised that Jacko isn't on the list too, considering his proclivities...
