I just found out that I can quit my job, work for myself and then retire in 5 years!
How? I received an sub-contract to design and build mock-ups for Scion.
The last key was realized today. I received word from the local appliance store that I can have all their cast-off refrigerator boxes!

You can get the Avalanche without the cladding. Frankly, juvenile as it looks, it is better with the cladding than without. Now, the Aztek on the other hand...

"Anything built by Chrysler in the 80's was an absolute abomination."
I had an '84 Dodge Daytona Turbo. It never made it to 100k. I also had an '82 Mustang. Piston cracked at 70k.
I'm of the opinion that most of vehicles made by the big three in the '80 are definitely crap by today's standards.
Even my beloved Fiero was a pile until I rebuilt it.

It must look really awful without the cladding, then. I think I'll have to go over the GM site and see for myself.

Yeah the avalanche is an abomination. It is a shame it is considered a truck/SUV. not to mention the blinker lights above the headlights make it look like it has eyebrows.

Every time I see the latest large Mercedes-Benz SUV, I hear the theme of "Hogan's Heroes" in my head.

I can't believe no one's mentioned the Aztek yet.
Got to agree on the Scion. It looks like something from a bad 1970's sci-fi movie.

Anything built by the US companies from the mid 1970's until the mid to late 80's was crap. I owned a couple of them.

From and aesthetic viewpoint. Remember the 1961 Plymouth Valiant? Must have been a French designer. Fugly as hell!

Personally, I can't agree with any "worst car" list that doesn't include the Pontiac Grand Am and the Chevy Malibu. I get stuck with these awful vehicles sometimes when renting, and every time I do, I think it would be prudent to write a letter to GM's chairman asking him why GM can't produce a car these days that doesn't suck.

Ya mean sort of like the early to mid-'60s Chevrolet Apache trucks?

We had a 1980 Dodge Ram Charger. We bought it off a lot cheap, and upon close inspection we figured out it must have been a govt fleet vehicle for use in the Sequoia or Kings National Forest. It was one reliable truck that eventually died with it's boots on (t-boned by some kids in a stolen car running a stop sign.

GM Rentals - Uncomfortable, cheap, lots of designer plastic. They all look the same.

Mine, the Metallic Orange is really nice looking and you just can't beat it for utility and economy. The auto FWD is also a good feature. It gives us everything we want without the price and IMO stupidity (Pimped out interior, useless gadgets designed to break, etc., etc.) most SUV's have. The opposing doors make access and loading/unloading things easy and allows us to carry things that would never fit in most SUV's. Besides, if you are concerned about having a style setter you probably wouldn't be buying any SUV - Style was not the most important consideration when we got it - Utility and winter driving was.
