I sent a letter to Sen. John F. Kerry

I sent a letter to Sen. John F. Kerry asking him to keep his word to the American public and sign a federal form authorizing the release of all of his military records. On Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, during an appearance on the NBC News show "Meet the Press," moderator Tim Russert three times asked Sen. Kerry if he would sign an SF 180 allowing release of all of his military records. On the third attempt Sen. Kerry answered Mr. Russert plainly: "Yes, I will." [Click here to read a transcript of the "Meet the Press" show.] In a Feb. 2 letter hand delivered to Sen. Kerry's Capitol Hill office, I asked him to execute the SF 180 immediately and thereby put to rest the controversies surrounding his service as a U.S. Navy officer. [Click here to read the letter.] Judicial Watch requested Aug. 2, 2004, release of Sen. Kerry's military service records under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. Navy Personnel Command withheld 31 pages of documents because Sen. Kerry refused to sign an SF 180. The records pertained to: "Personnel service jackets and service records; and correspondence and records in both automated and non-automated form concerning classification, assignment, distribution, promotion, advancement, performance, recruiting, retention, reenlistment, separation, training, education, morale, personal affairs, benefits, entitlements, discipline and administration of naval personnel." Sen. Kerry has yet to come clean with the American people. We hope he will finally keep his promise to release his military records.

Clinton has the goods on Kerry, if he runs against Clinton this info will be leaked. I think Kerry knows this and he and his scary wife are already setting the stage for "my wife won't let me run"

"I have all of Kerry's records. If he will send me a couple million bucks from the Ketchup Kween, I won't release them. "

Nice try, Hillary.

If he had a less than honorable discharge...which seems to be more than just a passing rumor as many credible people have said this...and if Jimmy Carter pardoned him, why wouldn't that be public. I thought all presidential pardons are public?

I agree with you, we came very close to electing a traitor. Thanks to Ross Perot we indured Bill Clinton. Jimmy Carter in hindsight was and is a traitor. He would sell us out in a heart beat if it meant to appease the international community.

The election this past year may have been the closest the US has ever come to placing a traitor in the White House

I don't know about that, considering Bubba's two terms.

Of course, BJc may have not been a traitor until after being elected, whereas JFnK would have been a pre-existing traitor.

I agree that he'll never sign. Or he'll limit the scope of the records to protect whatever it is he's hiding. I believe he qualified his statement by saying he'd sign when the Swifties did, giving him an automatic out.

This guy still makes me sick and scares me. And for those who say he's history, I say don't be so sure. If he was just gonna give it up, he wouldn't have gone on his Bush Bashing tour through the Middle East and Europe. I loathe him so deeply that I was actually using my favorite hand gestures toward my TV during the SOTU address the other night....juvenile, I know, but it made me feel better.

Wouldn't it be GRAND if the swifties ALL signed the SF180's and presented the challenge to him, in public!

Hey, I can dream can't I??

Now that I'd like to see. And I'm sure they'd do it if it meant he had to reciprocate.

I don't mean to be the Chicken Little in the group, but I am concerned that this story isn't over. It scared the cr__ outa me that he was almost elected before and while the thought that he might run again doesn't exactly keep me up at night, it still worries me.

Bottom line: he's dangerous and his behavior is detrimental to the morale of our troops.
